WWE has seen several first-time champions crowned across all three main brands of the company in recent months.
Whether it be Jacob Fatu winning the United States Championship or Dominik Mysterio capturing the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 41, these first-time champions have created memories not soon to be forgotten.
In the weeks and months to come, there should be several more first-time champions that offer some unforgettable moments in 2025.
Here are nine first-time WWE champions to be potentially crowned soon.
9. Je’Von Evans
Je’Von Evans has been climbing to try to get the top spot over on the WWE NXT brand.
“The Young OG” is set to challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship on Sunday, August 24 at WWE NXT Heatwave 2025.
With Evans going for the NXT Championship once again, it could be a case of “three times a charm” when he collides with Femi in Lowell, Massachusetts.
A victory at WWE Heatwave 2025 would mark Je’Von’s first title won of his young career. With all the pressure on Evans, it should make for a compelling championship encounter this Sunday.

8. Jordynne Grace
In January, Jordynne Grace signed with WWE after a six year run in TNA Wrestling.
“The Juggernaut” has since become one of the top stars and most popular babyfaces in the NXT women’s division.
While she is a former three-time TNA Knockouts World Champion, Grace has not been able to capture gold in the WWE after several different title opportunities.
Jordynne finally winning the NXT Women’s Championship feels like something WWE will do before she inevitably takes the leap to the main roster.

7. Blake Monroe
Over on WWE NXT, Jordynne Grace has been feuding with Blake Monroe as of late heading into WWE Heatwave 2025.
After a highly successful two-year run in All Elite Wrestling, Monroe signed with WWE in June and has immediately established herself as one of the most prominently featured stars in the NXT women’s division.
With a reign as AEW Women’s World Champion under her belt, it feels like only a matter of time until Monroe wins a title in WWE.
Now that she is firmly solidified as part of the deepest women’s scene in WWE, Monroe is someone that should become NXT Women’s Champion sooner rather than later.

6. Carmelo Hayes
In the 2024 WWE Draft, Carmelo Hayes was selected by Friday Night SmackDown in the first round.
Coming to the main roster with lofty expectations, Hayes has fell a bit short of what many fans wanted to see from him on the blue brand.
As of late, his fanbase has gotten behind him again, wanting to see more for Carmelo after over a year on the WWE main roster.
Melo winning his first WWE main roster title will be a memorable moment that fans will see as the first milestone of many for the NXT Champion.

5. Aleister Black
Aleister Black returned to WWE on the April 25 post-WrestleMania 41 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
After spending four years with All Elite Wrestling, Black has made a comeback looking to outdo what he has done in his first run with WWE.
During his first stint, Black was unable to win a WWE title on the main roster despite being a former NXT Champion.
Black winning the United States Championship or even the Undisputed WWE Title would be huge for his career prospects and position in the company right now.

4. Rey Fenix
Ever since debuting in WWE back in April, Rey Fenix has become one of the highlights of Friday Night SmackDown with his stellar high flying ability.
The masked luchador has recently been paired up with Andrade where they have picked up plenty of steam in the SmackDown tag team division.
After coming up short on his first two opportunities at the WWE Tag Team Championship, Fenix feels like he is the closest he’s been to getting championship gold very soon.
Fenix teaming with Andrade to win the WWE Tag Team Titles could be a crowning achievement for the former AEW star that would be something to hang his hat on for years to come.

3. Penta
While Rey Fenix has gotten close to championship gold in the SmackDown tag team division, Penta has become one of the breakout stars of Monday Night Raw since debuting in WWE earlier this year.
The former AEW World Tag Team Champion has been thrilling fans all over the world since his arrival in WWE back in January and seems destined to be a champion.
In 2025 so far, Penta has gotten several shots at the Intercontinental Championship, including at WrestleMania 41.
After falling short on four separate occasions, Penta has to find success somehow down the line to win his first title in WWE.

2. Bronson Reed
On the May 24 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Bronson Reed made his return from injury and immediately aligned with Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman in their new faction.
Now known as The Vision, this group has been running roughshod over the WWE roster, which has included their run-ins with Roman Reigns.
On two separate occasions, Reed has stolen the sneakers of Reigns and has officially been dubbed “The Tribal Thief” with his own “Shoe-lafala.”
After his recent rise up the ladder, it feels like fans will see Bronson win his first WWE title on the main roster whether that be on his own or with Breakker in the very near future.

1. Stephanie Vaquer
At WWE Evolution 2025, Stephanie Vaquer won a number one contenders battle royal to earn a shot at the WWE Women’s World Championship at Clash In Paris 2025.
“La Primera” has been on a roll ever since getting called up to the WWE main roster this summer and was on the verge of her biggest match yet.
However, with Naomi vacating the title due to her pregnancy, the upcoming title bout has been put into question.
Whether it be in Paris or somewhere down the line, Vaquer feels destined to become the new champion soon just like she did in WWE NXT.
