Ahead of WWE Money in the Bank 2025, there are a lot of options as to who could win the titular ladder match this year.

With storylines ranging truly from all points in the card, there are many ways the match could go.

Here are eight WWE stars that could win the 2025 men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

8. Cody Rhodes

WWE star Cody Rhodes

Although he has yet to return to WWE TV, there is some indication that Cody Rhodes will be back in action before Money in the Bank on June 7.

While Rhodes is featured on the Money in the Bank 2025 poster, he hasn’t been seen in WWE since losing the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41.

It would make sense for Cody to return to WWE by way of the Money in the Bank ladder match and begin his long and arduous return to the top of the card.

With John Cena seemingly unlikely to offer up Rhodes a rematch for the title ahead of his departure, maybe the Money in the Bank contract is the only way for him to reclaim his championship.

7. LA Knight

WWE star LA Knight

While LA Knight remains a fan favorite in WWE, he is seemingly without a clear path forward after losing the United States Championship to Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 41.

He wasn’t successful in his effort to reclaim the United States Title at Backlash and it remains to be seen what is truly next for LA Knight.

However, since he remains popular with audiences, if he were to win the Money in the Bank ladder match, he could use the opportunity to target any number of foes across both Raw or SmackDown.

It would make complete sense for the holder of the Money in the Bank briefcase to taunt as many stars as possible with their looming threat of cash-in – something that LA Knight would do impeccably.

6. Karrion Kross

WWE Money in the Bank sometimes provides an opportunity for a surprise twist – and Karrion Kross capturing the win would provide such a moment.

While he didn’t make the WrestleMania 41 card, Kross saw a swell of fan support during both the SmackDown before Mania and in his brief appearance during AJ Styles vs Logan Paul.

After Kross made headlines following WrestleMania 41 for his heated post-show comments, his momentum has continued and he would seemingly make a great surprise winner.

It would be particularly fun to see how much more manipulative he could become in the event he yields the power of the briefcase.

5. Bron Breakker

Since he has pledged his allegiance to Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman, a new iteration of Bron Breakker has come to life.

He is now presented as much more of a silent assassin – someone that would be intriguing to hold the Money in the Bank briefcase.

While Breakker could be the one to actually hold the honor, it could make for an interesting story if it were to be revealed later that the win was considered a collective one by Rollins – meaning Rollins may take the opportunity for himself.

Alternatively, if Rollins becomes WWE World Heavyweight Champion at some point, there would be a looming threat of Breakker cashing in on Rollins.

4. Carmelo Hayes

While he recently won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at the SmackDown before WrestleMania 41, Carmelo Hayes could still use a major star making moment.

Being drafted in the first round of last year’s draft, Melo has gone on to feud with the likes of LA Knight and Andrade, and recently paired up with The Miz, but he continues to seem on the verge of something big.

Since there have been rumors that the 2025 WWE Draft could be as soon as the end of May, perhaps Trick Williams will have already been called up to the main roster ahead of Money in the Bank – but it would be even better if he hadn’t been.

It would make for an exciting moment if Trick was to bust into the Money in the Bank ladder match, with fans of NXT seemingly spotting him as a direct threat to Melo – only for Williams to end up helping Carmelo Hayes win in the end.

3. Chad Gable

One consistent presence of excellence over the past year is Chad Gable, performing at a high level in the ring, but also wildly entertaining and emotionally evocative to watch.

Finding new and surprising ways to draw the ire of the audience, Gable is not only the leader of the brazenly patriotic American Made faction with Julius Creed, Brutus Creed and Ivy Nile, but he now also has a growing “alliance” with El Grande Americano.

Rumors persist that Chad Gable is actually El Grande Americano, however the claims have yet to be proven, although there is admittedly a wealth of evidence to support the claim.

Perhaps they could finally put the speculation to rest by both competing in the WWE Money in the Bank ladder match, just to prove all the non-believers wrong.

2. CM Punk

One WWE star who loves to prove non-believers wrong when it comes to judging his capacity is CM Punk.

While he has recently accomplished his goal to main event WrestleMania, he could make history again in 2025 by becoming the only WWE star to ever win three Money in the Bank ladder matches.

Having already captured the designation of being the only person to win two Money in the Bank ladder matches, Punk went back-to-back in 2008 and 2009.

Since he has stacked quite a pile of enemies since returning to WWE, holding the Money in the Bank briefcase could be the perfect opportunity for Punk to enact revenge on the likes of Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins or even John Cena.

1. Drew McIntyre

Having Drew McIntyre capture the Money in the Bank briefcase could kick off one of the best runs in the history of the prize.

Since McIntyre seems to have plenty of vitriol to spread around, why not unleash him on the entire roster as he carries the briefcase and drops facts for an entire year.

With every champion throughout WWE subject to his scathing commentary, McIntyre could choose to openly vow to cash-in on anyone who irritated him enough.

Not to mention, it would give him another weapon to use against CM Punk – equalling the aforementioned record of winning back-to-back Money in the Bank matches.
