8 Sexiest WWE Championship Belts In History

Every wrestler, every wrestling fan, and every person who has ever done a combat sport has wanted to win a championship belt.

It’s a sign that you are the best at what you do, and it really helps if the belt you’ve just won actually looks really nice.

I mean, imagine if you worked hard for your entire career and when you eventually won the belt, you were handed something with a pink butterfly on it that called you a diva. That would be so stupid.

While a lot of WWE’s belt designs leave a lot to be desired, there are plenty which actually look really lovely.

I just want to say that before we start, these are not in a particular order. It’s just the order I happened to think of the belts in, so please don’t get mad at me if your favourite isn’t number 1.

8. NXT UK Championship

As someone from the UK, I imagine I wasn’t the only one who was a bit worried that when WWE announced it would be launching NXT UK that the belt would just be covered in pictures of the queen drinking tea and eating beans on toast.

Thankfully, what the designers actually came up with was arguably the best belt WWE has made in the past 15 years. The classic crest with the lion and unicorn is a famous symbol of the United Kingdom, and that’s really all we need.

It is amazing how we can have this belt in NXT UK, and then have the main WWE Championship looking the way it does. If I won the WWE Championship, i’d get a sticker of the NXT UK Championship and stick it on top of the WWE title.

7. NXT North American Championship

Again, simplicity is the key with the NXT North American Championship belt.

Probably the most unusual belt WWE has released in the past decade, but it’s unusual in all the best ways. The classic brown leather with the gold works really well, and the simple image of North America in the middle somehow makes it immediately feel more prestigious.

I think it works so well because it is so unlike any other WWE belt, so it stands out as something special that makes you a top star if it’s around your waist

6. WWE Intercontinental Championship (80s)

I feel like simplicity is going to be a running theme here.

Nothing over the top, no repulsive giant W in the middle of it, and no unnecessary bling to make it look like a cheap fashion accessory.

What I want is plenty of gold (or gold-plated metal), the name of the championship, and a nice image in the middle that roughly describes what the title is all about. In this case, it’s a picture of the world, which makes sense because it’s the Intercontinental Championship.

5. Big Eagle

Eagles are cool. Belts are cool.

It does help that this belt was held by some of the greatest WWE Champions of all time.

Honestly, if they had made this belt, and then never changed the design ever again, I would have been forever happy. It’s bloody gorgeous.

4. WWE Intercontinental Championship, White Strap Edition

But it’s also white which is cool.

3. Undisputed Championship

Yes, the lack of eagles is disappointing, but the Undisputed Championship more than makes up for this by being even more gold.

The leather strap itself has a similar shape to that of the North American Championship, and while the design is very busy, with feathers, stars, globes, and jewels, it never feels like too much.

I know I said I didn’t like jewels earlier, but I don’t mind it when there’s just a few on there.

Again, this belt was held by a lot of great champions, and great champions make belts seem even more desirable.

2. World Heavyweight Championship

This is the belt that almost everyone in the world would want to own if they could only own one belt. It’s really sexy.

Not only is it stunning, but the fact they replaced it with one of the worst belts in history is a crime that deserves punishment.

I want it back.

1. Winged Eagle

What is a winged eagle? Don’t all eagles have wings?

Anyway, it is undoubtedly the best belt WWE has ever made, and likely will ever make. End of discussion.
