With WWE Clash in Paris 2025 coming up at the end of this month, there could be some intriguing returns already planned for the event.
From current WWE names returning to action from injury to potential returns from the past – there could be some big surprises still to come before the end of summer.
Here are eight WWE stars that could make returns at WWE Clash in Paris 2025.
8. Bianca Belair

After sustaining several broken fingers at WrestleMania 41, Bianca Belair has yet to return to in-ring competition although has continued her storyline with former tag team partner Naomi.
With Naomi retaining the WWE Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam, it could be the right time for Bianca Belair to return.
Potentially popping up to align with Naomi in her battle against Stephanie Vaquer if she were to turn heel, it may make even more sense for her to kick off a feud with Naomi after a victory.
With both Naomi and Bianca doing some of the most compelling emotional storytelling as of late in WWE, hopefully there is still more to come from this pair.

7. Liv Morgan

After sustaining a shoulder injury and subsequently getting surgery, Liv Morgan is still expected to be out of in-ring action for the foreseeable future.
While it isn’t clear how long Morgan’s injury may keep her out of in-ring action but her character could definitely make an impact on-screen even without physicality.
With now the Judgment Day tag team of Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez having lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – Liv may want to return to gloat.
There are s few storylines that Liv could interact with in Paris – if nothing else, to accompany Dirty Dom should he hang on to the Intercontinental Championship until then.

6. Rey Mysterio

After suffering a groin injury on the SmackDown before WrestleMania 41, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio remains out of action.
However with some reports nothing that he could be ready to return this month, it could make sense to see him reappear at the Clash in Paris.
Since Dominik Mysterio was able to retain the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam 2025 against AJ Styles, perhaps we see Rey interfere in his next title defense.
Potentially resuming his feud with El Grande Americano (albeit now the masked luchador is allegedly portrayed by Ludwig Kaiser) – there are several ways that Rey could return in Paris.

5. Ilja Dragunov

After sustaining a torn ACL in September 2024 during a house show match against GUNTHER, Ilja Dragunov has been out of action.
However, it has been recently reported that the Mad Dragon is set for a return sometime in the near future.
While there hasn’t been any official timeline for return revealed, it would make total sense to see him make a return at Clash in the Castle.
Possibly a future foe for Seth Rollins, hopefully the impressive and intense performer is able to get back into a feud soon.

4. Brie Bella

Since the return of Nikki Bella to WWE at the Royal Rumble 2025, fans have been wondering if they will see the return of twin sister Brie.
Although WWE Evolution came and went with no sign of the WWE Hall of Famer on WWE TV, there have been continued promising signs of a potential return.
With the pair broadcasting their Nikki & Brie Show podcast from SummerSlam this weekend and both spotted taking in the show from a suite – perhaps it is finally time to get Brie Mode again in WWE.
While it remains uncertain what Nikki’s next feud might be – with Liv Morgan seemingly out of action due to injury – there may be no better place for twin magic than Paris.

3. GUNTHER

After losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to CM Punk at SummerSlam 2025 – it could be a good time for GUNTHER to take some time away from TV.
Rumors persist that it is set to be GUNTHER to face John Cena in his final WWE match in December but in the interim – there may be a good reason to take a break.
Recently it has been reported that he is dealing with a “nose issue”, although further details weren’t shared it was speculated it could lead to some time off for the former champ.
While it remains to be seen if GUNTHER will be out of action, with Clash in Paris fast approaching on August 31, 2025 – there could be a surprise return for the Ring General.

2. Tama Tonga

One missing member of the Bloodline remains Tama Tonga who was written off of TV before WrestleMania 41 to afford time off due to a legitimate injury.
After Jacob Fatu lost his bid at regaining the WWE United States Championship from Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam 2025 – it seems their Bloodline feud is still not over.
Since Tama Tonga did not appear at SummerSlam, perhaps his return was being saved for a big moment in the future.
While Solo Sikoa has the numbers advantage for now with Tala Tonga, Tonga Loa & JC Mateo, perhaps Jacob Fatu is assembling his own new squad to be revealed in Paris.

1. The Rock

Although he hasn’t been seen in person on WWE TV as of late, The Rock remains an ever present force.
Over SummerSlam 2025 weekend, his upcoming film The Smashing Machine aired multiple times ahead of the October release in theaters.
However, intriguingly there is another date on the calendar for Dwayne – The Smashing Machine is scheduled to have its world premiere in competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on September 1, 2025 – the day after WWE Clash in Paris.
Easily able to make the jaunt (less than 2 hours by plane) to appear at Clash in Paris ahead of the festival – perhaps the Final Boss will begin to unfurl his next WWE storyline or make an announcement about a future UK PLE.
