You probably have not heard about it yet, but CM Punk has been fired by All Elite Wrestling.
AEW Collision was created as the CM Punk show and with ratings already declining, it is time for Tony Khan to name a new top face for the show.
AEW’s founder should be looking for someone who shines a new light and leads the show into a brighter future.
One particular person comes to mind immediately…
8. Bryan Danielson
He technically replaced CM Punk already as a planned strap match with Ricky Starks saw Danielson be the last-minute backup.
In addition, Khan already sees Danielson as the biggest pro in his entire company.
Who better than Bryan Danielson?
Khan already told his own father that if something happens to him, he should turn to Danielson.
That shows just how much Khan thinks of him.
Danielson would be the safest option… unless Khan has a completely different approach in mind.

7. Jack Perry
AEW could also go for a car-crash television approach. Jack Perry was involved in the situation that led to CM Punk being fired in the end.
One of the four pillars of the company and certainly not a babyface right now. Plus, he is currently suspended after his altercation with Punk at All In.
But saving plunging ratings is as hard as breaking real glass, so Khan just might be forced to do something controversial.
Perry could portray a badass no-good rebel, but he would not be the only one able to fill that role…

6. Jon Moxley
Moxley is one of the most reliable men on the AEW roster.
He is a member of the raging success that is Blackpool Combat Club and absolutely their biggest star as a former multi-time AEW World Champion and current AEW International Champion.
Surely AEW could simply turn to him once more.
The only problem: They always turn to Moxley when there is trouble. Maybe it is time to push someone new instead.

5. Ethan Page
Someone fresh like Ethan Page. Of course, Page has yet to main event a show. AEW Collision requires a character that generates attention.
However, “All Ego” was praised for his recent passionate babyface promo by fans and critics and he brings everything to the table that you need to be a top babyface.
There seems to be only one man who has not seen it yet: Tony Khan.
Maybe Page could be built as the actual long-term successor to CM Punk during the time other top names are filling in.

4. Adam Page
Yes. Hear me out, I know. AEW Dynamite is the show of “The Elite”.
Nevertheless, The Elite has four members, and one of them has been flying a little bit under the radar as of late.
The Hangman could benefit from taking a break from Elite duties and forge his own path as the top guy on AEW Collision.
Moving to Collision as a singles talent would mean some fresh matchups, and also, a bigger spotlight on him as an individual.

3. Eddie Kingston
I would be remiss not to mention Eddie Kingston.
For years now fans have been demanding the big push for the Mad King.
Eddie surely earned it. It might be hard to imagine for some, but Eddie Kingston reigning over AEW Collision in main event feuds is what AEW needs.
Undoubtedly, it would set them apart from the competition and the universal love for Eddie Kingston does the rest.

2. Darby Allin
It has been a while since Allin really was the focus of AEW television.
Sure, he always gets his fair share of key matches alongside Sting or in some death-defying hardcore battle.
In the end, Allin is a pillar of AEW and he is experienced enough to carry some of the load.
Christian Cage better watch his back, he just might see Allin a lot more in the future.

1. Orange Cassidy
Much like Bryan Danielson, Orange Cassidy already kinda replaced CM Punk.
One of the first things AEW did after the Punk firing was editing Punk out from promo material.
In his place, Freshly-Squeezed Orange Cassidy was used front and center on much (but not all) of that material.
After an incredible run as the AEW International Champion Cassidy has broken through to the main event scene. Apparently, he has no desire to take a break. So… Collision might be a good landing spot.
