All signs point towards Chris Jericho making a comeback to WWE in 2026 once his contract expires at AEW.
The former multi-time World Champion is reportedly ready to wind his career down where he found his greatest success.
Once he does return, perhaps he could once again lead a completely new group to the promised land rather than joining a team like The Vision.
That way, Y2J could slowly transfer the spotlight from himself to a new generation. Let’s take a look at who would benefit from this.
7. Myles Borne
Myles Borne is one of the biggest hopefuls down in NXT.
Despite being partially deaf Borne has been able to win everyone over and is one of the engaging performers on the brand. In fact, this does not define him anymore, nor does it hold him back in any way.
Borne could be set for a major push on NXT as he will soon compete at NXT Deadline in the Iron Survivor Challenge, and is one of the favourites to win it! There simply is no stopping Myles Borne.
However, being on the main roster is a different ballgame and being guided by a legend like Chris Jericho might help Borne to find his footing there.

6. Karmen Petrovic
As a fellow Canadian, Petrovic would fit perfectly into Chris Jericho’s new faction.
Unfortunately, unlike Myles Borne, her star in NXT is diminishing somewhat, with little creative investment in her lately.
Even though the 30-year-old former national champion in Karate is a great in-ring performer, her screen time does not match her potential anymore.
If only there were a legendary wrestler returning to WWE that could change her luck: Insert Chris Jericho. Together, they could break and swoosh the walls down.

5. The Creed Brothers
I know that The Creed Brothers are technically still a group with Ivy Nile and Chad Gable.
Sadly, though, Gable is still out injured, and Ivy Nile might just be better off on her own or in a tag team with a fellow female wrestler.
During Gable’s injury absence, the Creed Brothers, who potentially have the biggest potential of any young team in the company, have not been featured a lot on WWE TV.
Maybe their luck is changing, and they could be the tag team of Chris Jericho’s faction. Sorry Chad.

4. Grayson Waller
Grayson Waller and Chris Jericho are very much alike.
Waller’s attitude is reminiscent of Jericho’s behaviour when he first joined the company in 2000.
In addition, Waller regularly hosts the talk show ‘Grayson Waller Effect’, a newer version of what was ‘Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel’ in the past.
Honestly, these two match together like bread and butter.

3. Nathan Frazer
Another perfect match would be to put Chris Jericho with Nathan Frazer.
Theoretically, Fraxiom is “fine”. But what if they are not? Well then, Frazer could just jump over and join Chris Jericho!
Much like Grayson Waller, Frazer shows similarities to an early Chris Jericho. Although his similarities stem more from the athletic side of things.
Frazer needs something new, and the fastest man alive teaming with the Ayatollah of Rock N’ Rolla? Give me that!

2. Oba Femi
Oba Femi is ready for the main roster. Oba Femi is hungry for the main roster.
Still, the main roster is a shark tank, and during his early days, Femi might require some guidance in the form of Chris Jericho.
Plus, imagine Chris Jericho coming back after such a long time,e and the enforcer of his group is former NXT Champion Oba Femi!
This group would be unstoppable.

1. Carmelo Hayes
Carmelo Hayes aka HIM, would greatly benefit from being a member of Chris Jericho’s group.
Much like Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes should be a future WrestleMania Main Eventer.
Unfortunately, Hayes has been stuck in WWE’s midcard without any championship reigns since his NXT Championship days.
Luckily, with Chris Jericho by his side, there should be plenty of chances to change the luck of the man who used to not miss.
