Here are seven potential winners of the currently vacant NXT Championship.

7. Ricky Saints

Interrupting NXT GM Ava’s explanation regarding what was set to happen with the title, it was Ricky Saints who is clearly most eager to get a shot at the title again.

Having dropped the NXT Championship to Oba Femi early last month at Deadline, Saints believes himself to be the rightful top contender.

However with Ava going on to explain that the next NXT Champion would be determined via a six-man ladder match and that the participants would be earning their spot via qualifying matches, there ended up being a wrinkle in Saints’ plan.

Still likely poised to be in the ladder match for the title, it might not end up being Ricky Saints who is a shoo-in to reclaim the championship.

Certainly having earned his fan favorite status, a potential feud between the charismatic Ricky Saints and Joe Hendry could end up becoming a landmark storyline in 2026.

With both men able to tell compelling stories through their in-ring work, they could certainly have a back-and-forth exchange of the NXT Championship that lasts from now through Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania 42 weekend.

A strong contender to end up capturing victory in the six-man ladder match and bringing home the gold is Tony D’Angelo.

Returning to NXT in lieu of potentially moving on to the main roster as had been speculated during his absence, D’Angelo certainly has unfinished business.

Since it was Tony D’Angelo that was featured in the crowd intently eyeing the NXT Championship after Oba Femi initially relinquished it by leaving it in the ring, there could be a full circle moment coming soon.

With the NXT Championship eluding The Don so far in his time in NXT, a new era of Tony D’Angelo could certainly be dawning soon.
