Since Kevin Owens revealed that he will not be able to compete at WWE WrestleMania 41, Randy Orton is without an opponent in Las Vegas.
However, it seems that there will be a replacement for Owens and a match will still happen for Orton – but against who?
Here are seven WWE stars that Randy Orton could face at WrestleMania 41.
7. Shinsuke Nakamura

Former United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura has found himself without a match at WWE WrestleMania 41.
However, the SmackDown star could easily end up in a quick feud with Randy Orton to give purpose and meaning to a fight between them in Las Vegas.
While there is certainly history between the pair, Nakamura has been decidedly taking a dark tone of late and could just look to spoil the event for Orton.
Clearly with both stars able to put in impressive in-ring performances, the match could still prove to be a memorable one, despite the expedited build.

6. Karrion Kross

Another WWE star without a set dance partner for Las Vegas is Karrion Kross.
While Kross has clearly been involved in the storyline between AJ Styles and Logan Paul, he is currently without his own match for WrestleMania 41.
Given the violent and unpredictable nature of Karrion Kross’ character, there wouldn’t need to be a ton of rationale as to why Kross would want this match to happen.
As Karrion Kross has been shown as someone willing to play a very long game in regards to manipulating his fellow wrestlers, there could definitely be a future psychological benefit to taking this opportunity against Orton.

5. Aleister Black

While WWE fans continue to await the re-debut of Aleister Black, there are some clues that he could be showing up soon.
There are already mysterious vignettes airing that seem to suggest some new dark force is set to arrive in WWE shortly – clips that fans have attributed to the impending arrival of the former AEW World Trios Champion.
Having Randy Orton facing a mystery opponent that ends up being the return of Aleister Black could end up leading to an incredibly cool WrestleMania moment.
Since Randy Orton is so beloved by fans it could be a little risky putting him against a returning star, so perhaps the moment is better for someone who can lose without losing anything…

4. Myles Borne

If Orton remains in need of an opponent, the WWE NXT roster could be taken into consideration, since they could easily lose while still benefitting.
NXT star Myles Borne is a member of the No Quarter Catch Crew, and also bears a striking resemblance to Randy Orton.
While there could be some flimsy storyline concocted, in reality, it would just be neat to see Orton take on his doppelgänger in one-on-one action.
The match could be a great albeit random way for the entire No Quarter Catch Crew stable – also including Charlie Dempsey, Tavion Heights and Wren Sinclair – to be introduced to main roster fans.

3. Nick Aldis

While he has functioned on WWE TV as an on-screen authority figure, wrestling fans will recall that Nick Aldis is a powerful singles star in his own right.
The former TNA Wrestling and NWA World Champion, Aldis would be a formidable veteran for any star to take on in the ring.
In what appeared to be a bit of a case of ‘wrong place, wrong time’, Randy Orton delivered an RKO to Nick Aldis after it was confirmed that Kevin Owens was unable to compete at WWE WrestleMania 41.
Whether or not the interaction leads to an actual match remains to be seen, but if there is a need for a last minute replacement, Nick Aldis may be the perfect choice.

2. Sheamus

Although he did not make it into the Intercontinental Championship four-way set for WrestleMania 41, Sheamus is still willing and able to compete.
Sheamus recently weighed in, taking to Twitter to note that he would be ready for action at WrestleMania 41, writing simply, “I am available”.
Sheamus has competed at house shows against Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship during t road to WrestleMania, however is not yet scheduled for any matches in Las Vegas.
With the veteran remaining a fan favorite, perhaps Sheamus could punch his ticket to the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All’ to take on the Viper.

1. Rusev

Another former WWE star that fans are anticipating making a big return after a foray in AEW is the former Rusev.
While he was known as his actual first name Miro in AEW, it remains unclear what moniker the Bulgarian star may go by upon his return.
After being recently spotted at WWE HQ, it would make sense for Rusev to be planned for a big return debut in the near future, so why not be a surprise at WrestleMania 41?
It is not known whether or not his real-life wife CJ Perry (fka Lana in WWE) will be making a return too, but seeing the pair return at WrestleMania could be an iconic moment.
