WWE’s post-WrestleMania Premium Live Event takes place on May 10 at the Enterprise Centre in St. Louis, Missouri.

Backlash is set to be headlined by hometown hero Randy Orton, as he challenges his longtime rival John Cena for the WWE Undisputed Championship.

With just one episode of Raw left before the big event, there’s still plenty of room for twists, turns, and surprises that could shake up the Backlash card.

Here are 7 changes we could see on the May 5 edition of Raw:

7. Seth Rollins Makes His Intentions Clear

Last week on Raw, we saw Bron Breakker – alongside some assistance from Seth Rollins – decimate Sami Zayn.

With Backlash now just days away, little is known about the plans of Rollins and his new partner for the Premium Live Event.

Given that they are arguably the biggest act on the Raw brand, it seems unlikely they’ll be left off the card.

With an announced appearance for Rollins, Breakker and Paul Heyman on WWE Raw, they could finally make their intentions clear.

6. Women’s World Championship Match Made Official

WWE stars Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY

No official announcement has yet been made regarding the Women’s World Championship match at WWE Backlash.

However, it seems increasingly likely that Rhea Ripley will step up to challenge IYO SKY for the title.

With SKY scheduled to face NXT’s Roxanne Perez on Raw, there’s strong potential for Perez’s partner, Giulia, to get involved — creating the perfect opportunity for Ripley to make the save.

This could set the stage for a challenge to be issued and accepted, making SKY vs Ripley official for Backlash.

5. Pat McAfee Returns The Favor

On the WWE Raw after WrestleMania, Gunther relieved Pat McAfee of his consciousness, putting the commentator to sleep with a rear-naked choke.

McAfee responded with a fiery promo the following week, officially laying down the challenge for a match at Backlash.

With just days to go, the final build-up to the bout may explode on Raw.

If Gunther is back in the US in time for tonight’s show, the arrogant former world champion could be caught off guard by McAfee, who turns the tables and unleashes his full firepower on the Ring General.

4. WWE Women’s Tag-Team Championship To Be Vacated?

It was announced last week that Liv Morgan will be taking a temporary leave from WWE as she begins filming her upcoming movie, Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo.

Morgan, alongside her tag team partner Raquel Rodriguez, currently holds the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

This development presents a dilemma: should the title be held in up her absence, or will they be vacated and put up for grabs in a tournament?

An announcement regarding the future of the championship could be made on Raw.

3. Violent Brawl Between Becky Lynch & Lyra Valkyria

It has already been announced that Becky Lynch will call out WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria on Raw.

The two are set to clash for the title at Backlash, and tensions are expected to rise further ahead of the bout.

It’s highly unlikely that Valkyria will ignore the challenge, after being blindsided and beaten down by Lynch the past two weeks.

A full-blown pull-apart brawl seems all but certain to occur as they enter the final build to their Backlash encounter.

2. Jey Uso vs. Logan Paul Made Official

Last week on Raw, Logan Paul called out WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso.

Paul claimed he’d done more in four years with the company than Jey had in fifteen, vowing to take his title.

A fired-up Uso responded by superkicking the “punk-ass YouTuber” and leaving him laid out.

With the match still not official, it seems likely that Uso vs Paul for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash will be confirmed on Raw tonight.

1. Rematch For World Tag Team Championship

At WWE WrestleMania 41, The New Day captured the World Tag Team Championship – marking their ninth reign – by defeating the War Raiders.

However, the rivalry between the two teams appears far from over.

On last week’s Raw, The New Day joined the commentary desk, mocking the former champions as they picked up a win over The Judgment Day.

While it remains unclear whether a rematch will take place at Backlash or on a future edition of Raw, an official announcement will likely come this evening.
