With new feuds and new faces on WWE SmackDown recently, there are seemingly even more changes to the show coming soon.
From crossovers with others brands to potential returns that could shift dynamics, there are a lot of interesting changes that could be happening soon on the blue brand.
Here are seven changes coming up to WWE SmackDown.
7. NXT Stars To SmackDown

With numerous names rumored to be graduating from NXT to the main roster in the near future, seemingly some will find themselves landing on SmackDown.
From former NXT Champion Oba Femi to the likes of Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Lainey Reed) there could be brand new faces on the blue brand soon.
Other potentials to join Friday nights could be Trick Williams after he recently reunited with Carmelo Hayes on NXT.
Or even the return of Tony D’Angelo to WWE TV after it was reported that the NXT standout had requested time off rather than having been written out due to injury – making it possible he too could make a SmackDown debut soon.

6. Continued Crossovers With Raw

While there wasn’t a WWE Draft in 2025, it hasn’t stopped a number of stars from switching brands or appearing across both.
Particularly in the lead up to the upcoming Crown Jewel Perth, there have been moments between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins as well as Stephanie Vaquer and Tiffany Stratton ahead of their respective champion versus champion matches.
On the October 3 edition of SmackDown, Randy Orton is set to team up with Cody Rhodes to take on the formidable foes of Bron Breakker and Big Bronson Reed from WWE Raw.
Bringing together storylines across brands when necessary may become even more prominent as the fall continues and Survivor Series WarGames approaches.

5. Solo Sikoa Returns

With the return of WWE Raw star Roman Reigns on Netflix this past Monday, perhaps there could be another big Bloodline return coming soon on SmackDown.
After being absent from in-ring action since dropping his United States Championship to Sami Zayn, Sikoa returned via vignette.
Noting that he had lost everything at the hands of Sami Zayn, Solo vowed to get out from the shadow of the Bloodline and reclaim glory.
Potentially looking to return and lead the charge with his MFT stable at anyone who crosses their path – Solo Sikoa’s return to action could be impactful.

4. New Feuds

With the return of Jacob Fatu in apparent hunt for a showdown with Drew McIntyre, there could be even more yet to come.
Since The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed continue to lurk Cody Rhodes on behalf of Seth Rollins, the pair will take on Rhodes and Randy Orton in a match.
Setting the stage for a fun prospective feud between Bron Breakker and Randy Orton, there are still a lot surprises backstage at SmackDown.
With the likes of Aleister Black, Damian Priest and Carmelo Hayes always on the hunt for a match, there is a way that SmackDown becomes home to some exciting action in the near future.

3. No More John Cena

While the last few weeks of John Cena’s appearance dates have shifted a bit, the schedule does now seem to be locked in for when WWE fans can expect to still see him.
However, while there were two additional WWE Raw on Netflix dates added for November 10 and 17, there were not additional dates for the Friday night staple.
Instead Cena will be appearing at Crown Jewel taking on AJ Styles, the aforementioned pair of Raw dates in Boston and New York City respectively then November 29 at Survivor Series.
His final WWE match has been confirmed to be taking place on Saturday, December 13 in Washington D.C. on Saturday Night’s Main Event although no opponent has been confirmed.

2. New Heels In Women’s Division

WWE SmackDown has a bit of a women’s division problem as of late as the heel division has rapidly evaporated leaving seemingly only Nia Jax in the top title picture.
With Chelsea Green and Giulia (with Kiana James) rounding out the squad of foes for popular babyfaces across the brand, a roster shake-up could help feuds from going stale.
Whether someone from WWE Raw makes their way to the blue brand or even if someone already on SmackDown snaps and becomes a dastardly heel – there could be some moves in the near future.
With the entire women’s division needing some reconfiguration after the WWE Raw returns of Nikki Bella and AJ Lee and the departure of Naomi, perhaps there will be some fresh faces on SmackDown soon.

1. Commentary Changes

Corey Graves would end up suffering multiple F5’s at the hands of Brock Lesnar on a recent edition of the SmackDown broadcast, writing him off of TV.
Continuing to have some rotation in place across WWE Raw and SmackDown, it seems the Raw team has possibly settled into the previously SmackDown duo of Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore while there have been a few combinations on Friday night.
While the last two weeks have seen the pairing of Michael Cole and Booker T on the call for the blue brand, previously Booker T appeared alongside his NXT commentary partner Vic Joseph.
Although Booker T may not be a permanent solution, there has been no details released regarding any potential return to commentary action from Corey Graves.
