With WWE stars absent due to Hollywood projects or injury, it seems ahead of SummerSlam there will be some roster returns.
Between returns that are are known to be happening to others that remain unconfirmed but highly speculated about, there are a lot of possibilities.
Here are six WWE returns that are coming soon.
6. The Miz
After having been off of WWE TV for some time, it has been reported this week that The Miz is likely to be back sooner rather than later.
Unlike other stars who have been absent, The Miz was not out of action due to injury and rather was doing something far more exciting in his time away from WWE.
Serving as the host of the brand new reboot of American Gladiators, The Miz completed a marathon filming schedule that saw the production film the first two seasons of the show before going on hiatus.
Fun fact – give of the Gladiators in the reboot will be familiar to pro wrestling fans as AEW stars Kamille and Wardlow are reportedly featured as talent on the show, as well as former WWE star Rick Boogs, and OVW’s Jessie Godderz and J-Rod.

After being called up to the main roster, Kiana James had a series of wins on Main Event before appearing on WWE TV – but unfortunately her stay was short lived.
Kiana James has been out of action since June 2024, last being seen in a Money in the Bank qualifying match against IYO SKY and Zelina Vega.
Reportedly nearing a return from her knee injury, there have also been reports that WWE has a high opinion of the star.
Seemingly poised for a big storyline upon her return, the women’s division better look out!

4. Ilja Dragunov
Before he was taken out of action due to injury back in September 2024, Ilja Dragunov seemed poised for big things on the main roster.
Unfortunately Dragunov suffered a torn ACL at a WWE live event in a match against GUNTHER and has required surgery and rehab before his WWE journey can continue.
With varied reports suggesting he could return anywhere between now and October, it does seem that his return is coming sooner rather than later.
Recently spotted training at the WWE Performance Center – when the Mad Dragon does return, he is likely set for big things.

Bianca Belair was last seen in action at WrestleMania 41 in her landmark match against both Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY.
During the course of the bout, Belair picked up several broken fingers on her left hand – taking her out of action since.
However, she does make an appearance on an intriguing place – the official poster for the upcoming WWE Evolution premium live event.
While her return has not been confirmed – it would seem that Belair is set to appear, even if only in a segment backstage or on commentary.

2. Tama Tonga
With Solo Sikoa seemingly attempting to create his own new Bloodline 3.0 faction consisting of himself, Tonga Loa, Tala Tonga and JC Mateo – it remains unclear where Tama Tonga may stand in the matter.
Last being shown on screen squarely affiliated with Jacob Fatu, he was written off of WWE TV by an on-screen attack at the hands of LA Knight.
It was later revealed that Tama Tonga was healing from a legitimate injury however he could be making a return sooner rather than later.
Whether his return sees him aligning with Solo Sikoa or Jacob Fatu – it will be great to have the charismatic star back in action.
