WWE Raw on Netflix continues to progress several big storylines as top stars all jockey to claim their opportunity for a WrestleMania moment.
As WWE’s flagship show Raw enters the fifth week of programming streaming live on Netflix, there has already been groundwork laid for the next several months of stories, with presumably even more to come.
Here are six changes that WWE Raw on Netflix can make to ignite intrigue as the Road to WrestleMania begins.
6. Malakai Black Makes WWE Return After Departing AEW

Malakai Black, formerly known as Aleister Black in WWE, is officially done with AEW effective February 9, 2025. While he is thought to currently be a free agent, it has been widely rumored that he will be returning to WWE.
Black, a former NXT Champion, dominated on the developmental brand a before transitioning to the main roster, appearing on both Raw and SmackDown and engaging in feuds with stars that could easily be reignited today.
While Black’s past WWE history with AJ Styles and Seth Rollins could be interesting potential feuds, he also might be poised to run into former AEW foes Penta or CM Punk instead.
Or perhaps he will be looking to get back into the Intercontinental Championship hunt by introducing himself to Bron Breakker.

5. Charlotte Flair Embraces Top Girl Energy

At the end of the day, Charlotte Flair’s character refresh has brought back with her an attitude of embracing her excellence albeit with a tinge of superiority.
After being asked in the post-Royal Rumble press conference about the ‘Top Girl’ energy she was bringing upon her return, Flair was poised with the perfect explanation.
She said:
“I’m the history making, ground breaking, never scared, always prepared, self-made and always paid – The Woman of WWE.
“And I’m coming for my title at WrestleMania, I just haven’t decided which one.”
While reports have suggested that Flair may have been originally planned to return as a babyface, the ability to lean in to either side of the crowd reaction with bold confidence is a detail not every character could pull off – but Charlotte Flair absolutely could.
Utilizing the long history between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley, WWE has the unique opportunity to capture fans’ strong reactions, whether they choose to woo or boo.

4. Alba Fyre Attacks Lyra Valkyria

Lyra Valkyria may have her hands full attempting to best Bayley to win her way into the Elimination Chamber but that doesn’t mean she shouldn’t watch her back. The ideal person to swoop in and attempt to cut the high flyer’s wings is a familiar foe.
Lyra has not had title defense since winning the tournament to crown the inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship on January 13 against Dakota Kai.
Alba Fyre for her part has also been absent from WWE TV since appearing in a losing tag team effort on WWE NXT back on January 14 with her former Unholy Union partner, Isla Dawn.
After Isla Dawn confirmed this past weekend that she had been released from WWE, this seemingly leaves Fyre back in singles action and eligible to make a big impact.

3. Asuka Returns

After being attacked backstage on last week’s WWE Raw (January 3) by Liv Morgan ahead of her Elimination Chamber qualifying match by Morgan and her tag partner Raquel Rodriguez, it became clear that IYO SKY was vulnerable.
The Damage CTRL faction was plagued by injuries to start 2025 with Kairi Sane, Asuka and Dakota Kai all out of action and leaving IYO SKY to fly solo, but it seems that she may have backup sooner rather than later.
Rumors have emerged that WWE has been discussing plans for Asuka’s return to in-ring competition and it’s widely assumed that she will rejoin the Damage CTRL stable.
Asuka should return to WWE Raw and re-align with IYO SKY to finally topple the dastardly Judgment Day duo of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez – maybe even with a little help from Rhea Ripley.

2. CM Punk Gets Paul Heyman Alone

On the February 3 edition of WWE Raw, Michael Cole on commentary, having receiving intel from a WWE trainer, shared that Roman Reigns is injured after the violent altercation with Seth Rollins after his Royal Rumble 2025 elimination.
Reigns took two curb stomps at ringside from Rollins, one of which was on the steel steps.
Cole said:
“We don’t have an official injury update on Roman Reigns, medical can only share with us what Roman allows to be shared.
“We are going to have some kind of medical update on Roman Reigns but he believes he will be out for the foreseeable future.”
In the absence of Roman Reigns, CM Punk should have an interaction with Paul Heyman, away from the eyes of the Tribal Chief.
An in-ring exchange between the pair would continue to stoke interest in Reigns vs. Punk in the lead-up to a potential WrestleMania 41 showdown.

1. Jey Uso Gets Backup Against Imperium (GUNTHER & Ludwig Kaiser)

Similarly to IYO SKY, Jey Uso is flying solo in dangerous territory as his potential WrestleMania 41 opponent GUNTHER certainly isn’t alone.
With Ludwig Kaiser continuing his allegiance to the Ring General GUNTHER, Jey Uso will need some sort of backup if he is able to survive Imperium’s onslaught on the Road to WrestleMania.
Of course, what better ally to serve as his protector than someone who knows the role well – twin brother, Jimmy Uso.
While the pair went to war against one another at WrestleMania 40, to see them celebrate together a Main Event match (more less victory!) at WrestleMania 41 could be a truly iconic moment.
