AEW Worlds End 2025 is shaping up to be another stacked pay-per-view lineup for the company in a year filled with exceptional major shows.

With this upcoming event from Chicago, there could be some noteworthy title switches that shift the entire landscape of the company.

Considering 2026 is on the horizon, the promotion could look completely different coming out of the December 27 PPV with several new champions being crowned.

Here are six potential title changes at AEW Worlds End 2025.

6. Mercedes Moné & Athena Add AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles To Their Collection Against Babes of Wrath

On the December 17 Holiday Bash edition of AEW Dynamite, Mercedes Moné, Athena and The MegaProblems defeated Babes of Wrath and Timeless Love Bombs with “The CEO” pinning one half of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions Willow Nightingale.

Following this victory, Moné and Athena challenged Babes of Wrath for their titles at AEW Worlds End 2025.

The combination of the TBS Champion and ROH Women’s World Champion should be enough to take down Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron.

Putting together two of the most dominant champions in women’s wrestling, Moné and Athena could cut the Babes of Wrath’s reign short and walk out with the gold on December 27.

5. Bang Bang Gang Finally Dethrone FTR For AEW World Tag Team Championships

At AEW Dynamite and Collision: Holiday Bash 2025, FTR defeated Bang Bang Gang to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

However, this win did not come without some controversy as Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn had a visual pin over the champions before Cash Wheeler placed Dax Harwood’s foot on the ropes.

After feeling screwed, it would make sense for the Bang Bang Gang to get one more opportunity for the titles at AEW Worlds End 2025.

With a raucous crowd rallying behind them, Bang Bang Gang could finally be able to dethrone FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Titles after several failed attempts come Worlds End 2025.

4. The Elite Set Record As First Three-Time AEW World Trios Champions By Defeating The Opps

At AEW Full Gear 2025, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks reunited to fight against The Don Callis Family after two years of differences and battles against one another.

For the first time in two years, The Elite teamed with one another to defeat Don Callis Family’s Kazuchika Okada, Hechicero and Konosuke Takeshita in a Winner Takes All $1 Million Match.

Omega and The Bucks should use the momentum from this victory to get themselves back in title contention.

With The Opps still holding the AEW World Trios Championships, The Elite should find themselves with a title opportunity at Worlds End 2025 that could see them walking into 2026 as the new crowned champions.

After teaming together to get a win over Sisters of Sin at the AEW Collision: Winter Is Coming special, Jamie Hayter issued a challenge to Kris Statlander for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

This bout was made official for AEW Worlds End 2025 on Saturday, December 27 from Chicago, Illinois.

During the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament, Hayter defeated Statlander to advance to the finals.

With this previous win, Hayter could overcome Statlander to become a two-time AEW Women’s World Champion this Saturday at AEW Worlds End 2025.

2. Konosuke Takeshita Wins The AEW Continental Championship By Winning Continental Classic

With just two matches remaining during the Blue League of the Continental Classic, Konosuke Takeshita looks to be in an excellent position to make it to the final four of this year’s tournament.

Meanwhile, Takeshita’s Don Callis Family stablemates Kazuchika Okada and Kyle Fletcher are still eligible to win and move on to the semifinals in the Gold League.

While many fans believe a potential Takeshita vs. Okada final is inevitable, there is no telling how things will shape out with just two shows remaining until AEW Worlds End 2025.

Takeshita going on to the finals and winning could see him capture the AEW Continental Title to become a double champion along with the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

1. MJF Becomes A Two-Time AEW World Champion In Four-Way Against Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland & Hangman Page

On the December 17 Holiday Bash edition of AEW Dynamite and Collision, MJF made his return to the company for the first time since All Out 2025.

Invoking his Casino Gauntlet contract to get his shot at the AEW World Title, Maxwell Jacob Friedman made the scheduled three-way bout for the gold into a four-way main event at AEW Worlds End 2025.

Looking to get the better of his rival Hangman Adam Page, MJF is looking to defeat him and his two biggest rivals to get back the top prize in All Elite Wrestling.

MJF becoming a two-time AEW World Champion could set things in motion for a compelling start to the main title picture in the company in 2026 coming off the heels of Worlds End 2025.
