The next WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is set to take place at Centre Bell in Montreal, Quebec on January 24.
With the event taking place just one week before the Royal Rumble, there could be some major developments with even bigger implications.
Here are six surprises that could happen at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
6. Roman Reigns returns
While he hasn’t been on the scene since Survivor Series, Roman Reigns seems likely to return in the near future.
There could be a massive return from Roman Reigns at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event and specifically to form a new alliance.
Possibly arriving back on the scene in support of Jacob Fatu in his match against Cody Rhodes, the rivalry between Reigns and Rhodes could be reignited.
Possibly set to tangle within the Royal Rumble match, fans could get a sneak peek at a potential WrestleMania 42 main event.

5. New WWE Hall of Fame inductee announced
With only Stephanie McMahon announced so far for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026, announcements about more inductees will be coming soon.
Potentially using Saturday Night’s Main Event as a vehicle for the announcements, the next honoree could be revealed at the event.
From potential vintage stars like tag team Demolition to the beloved recent retiree John Cena — there are many solid options for who may join this year’s class.
Certainly with plenty of names being debated about between fans, it will be interesting to see who exactly ends up joining the Class of 2026 alongside McMahon.

4. Brock Lesnar takes out Damian Priest
With a fatal-four way match to determine who will face Drew McIntyre at Royal Rumble 2026 set for the show, there are four unique athletes set to take part.
Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, Damian Priest and Trick Williams are all set to compete but it could be that instead of making it into the match, Brock Lesnar takes out Damian Priest and replaces him with himself.
Alternatively, from a seniority perspective Lesnar could always take out Trick Williams to take his spot instead, setting up a potentially spectacular match between the two.
In what could be an unlikely swerve that ends up changing everything ahead of Royal Rumble 2026, Brock Lesnar could be as unpredictable as ever and appear out of nowhere.

3. Oba Femi debuts
Being teased with vignettes across both WWE Raw and SmackDown, it will be interesting to see where Oba Femi lands.
Although his return to the main roster could be saved for a Royal Rumble 2026 entry, perhaps Femi will have unfinished business with someone else on the Saturday Night’s Main Event card.
With his match against Cody Rhodes from the December 13 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event interrupted by Drew McIntyre, there wasn’t a conclusive winner.
Possibly still gunning for Cody or even turning his attention to Drew McIntyre who could be on commentary for the fatal four-way, Oba Femi could make a surprise attack.

2. Roxanne Perez turns on Liv Morgan
Potentially spelling the end of at least one alliance within the Judgment Day, Saturday Night’s Main Event could see the end of the goodwill between two tag team partners.
While their partnership has seemed fine so far, it would seem that there is real drama in a feud pitting Roxanne Perez against Liv Morgan.
Rather than them winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, Perez could turn on Morgan in a move that not only cements her heel status — it doesn’t really make Morgan a babyface.
Able to continue her heelish ways, the episode could prove to be a tease for a moment in the Royal Rumble between the pair.

1. Chris Jericho arrives in WWE
Until Chris Jericho makes his next appearance for a professional wrestling company, it almost seems like he could pop up anywhere.
With the debut edition of TNA Wrestling’s new show on the AMC Network come and gone with no signs of Jericho, speculation has been fuelled that he really is WWE bound.
However, since there has been no real confirmation of what is next, it remains a fun to speculate exactly when, where, why and how the return could go down.
While it would seem that a surprise return in the Royal Rumble 2026 makes the most sense — perhaps doing something unexpected is exactly what Chris Jericho would do for his return.
