While AEW already has some massive plans confirmed for All In Texas on July 12, some of the biggest moments on the night may not be announced ahead of time.
From AEW stars returning and storyline angles, to match stipulations being added, there could be plenty of surprises in store for AEW fans at the massive stadium show.
Here are six potential surprises for AEW All In Texas 2025.
6. Athena Aligns With Mercedes Mone

While it certainly seems as though Mercedes Mone will end up adding the AEW Women’s World Championship to her growing belt collection at AEW All In Texas – she might need a little helping hand to do it.
With proud Texan and long reigning ROH Women’s World Champion Athena without a clear place on the card for the big event, perhaps she is being reserved for a reason.
Mercedes Mone collecting belts from around the world doesn’t need to stop at her current total – rather by recruiting the ROH Women’s Champion Athena to help in her quest to topple Timeless Toni Storm – the duo could create a powerful alliance.
Even if it doesn’t end up being a pivotal run-in during a main event level moment – hopefully Athena makes her way onto the All In card somehow.

5. Bryan Danielson Returns

After being in attendance for AEW’s recent edition of Dynamite at Arena Mexico, fans in attendance got to see a thrilling surprise.
Not only did Danielson end up doing a run-in after the show went off the air – he also engaged in a little physicality… suggesting that he may be able to do something similar on air in the near future.
While it would make complete sense for him to help to finally put an end to Jon Moxley and The Death Riders, there’s also a darker Danielson timeline option.
The American Dragon could always return – inciting joy and jubilation from the crowd – only to then re-align with Moxley and break a stadium sized number of hearts within minutes.

4. Swerve Strickland Helps Hangman Page Win The AEW World Championship

Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page have proven that they just can’t leave each other in the past – with their individual storyline paths continuing to crossover in interesting ways.
Now that it Hangman is tasked with attempting to capture the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley – perhaps he will need help from friends and enemies alike.
There could be one drama filled moment by which Swerve has to make the ultimate choice between helping Hangman or allowing Moxley’s reign to continue.
Seeing Strickland help Hangman win the AEW World Title would bring their acclaimed storyline to a satisfying conclusion and would make for an unforgettable moment to boot.

3. Sting & Darby Allin Take Out The Death Riders

Another surprise run-in to attempt to topple Jon Moxley could very well be proud Waxahachie, Texas resident – Sting.
With the impending return of Darby Allin from his Mount Everest journey perhaps he and Sting can return together and help thwart Moxley in the main event.
Allin has a great amount of unfinished business with The Death Riders, with many fans feeling like AEW were building towards him dethroning Moxley as AEW World Champion.
While that spot seems set to go to Hangman instead, having Darby involved in the match seems fitting, with it being a Texas-sized surprise to see Sting return to AEW for All In Texas as well.

2. Wild Tag Team Texas Stampede

AEW has demonstrated time and again that they have the ability to produce excellent albeit chaotic non-traditional matches.
With AEW bringing their massive stadium show stateside for the 2025 edition of AEW All In, it stands to reason that there will be some sort of gimmick match, with the tag team division in particular in need of some focus.
Pitting all of AEW’s tag teams against one another in a stadium stampede style match, would be a fun way to determine new number one contenders for the AEW Tag Team Championships, or even new champions altogether.
In the end, the match could give teams like the Von Erichs, Dark Order, Matt Menard & Angelo Parker, etc. a chance to get on the AEW All In Texas card and make more AEW PPV moments.

1. MJF Reunites With FTR

While they were the ones who put Cope on the shelf – there isn’t currently a clear match for FTR at AEW All In Texas yet.
Meanwhile, with The Hurt Syndicate continuing to hold the AEW World Tag Team Championship, it isn’t clear who they will face at AEW All In Texas either.
Pitting the two teams against one another though could end up making it seem as though it would be Cope who would pop-up to cost FTR the match when in fact, an entirely different swerve could be in store.
MJF turning his back on The Hurt Syndicate in favor of reforming The Pinnacle with FTR would be a true shock and provide an exciting angle post All In Texas.
