WWE WrestleMania 42 is the biggest premium live event of the year and could include some major stipulation matches on the card.
Whether it be rivalries coming to an end or taking things to the next level, adding a stipulation will help to bring more focus on these particular matches.
These match types will only cause this year’s Mania to become even more must watch over the two-night premium live event.
Here are six potential stipulation matches at WWE WrestleMania 42.
6. WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Multi-Team Ladder Match
Over the past few months, the women’s tag team division has garnered a lot of attention with some of the biggest female stars doing battle over the gold.
Now that RHIYO holds the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, there are various duos who have been gunning for the titles recently.
After Nia Jax and Lash Legend went to a no contest with RHIYO, fans could see a rematch in the next few weeks before some more pairings like The Kabuki Warriors, Judgment Day, Bayley & Lyra Valkyria and The Bella Twins could reenter the picture.
This could lead to a multi-team ladder match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 42 this April.

5. The MFTs vs. The Wyatt Sicks Survivor Series Elimination Match
The MFTs and The Wyatt Sicks have been going to war with one another in a variety of different matches on Friday Night SmackDown.
On the January 23 edition of SmackDown, Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga of The MFTs defeated The Wyatt Sicks’ Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy to win the WWE Tag Team Championship.
Fans have seen these two battling factions face off in eight-man tag team matches since the tailend of 2025.
WrestleMania 42 could see this war coming to a close with The MFTs and The Wyatt Sicks facing each other in a Survivor Series Elimination Match with everyone being involved on ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All.’

4. Becky Lynch vs. AJ Lee No Holds Barred
On the February 9 episode of Monday Night Raw, AJ Lee made her return and led to Becky Lynch becoming overwhelmed with anger.
This led to Lynch issuing a challenge to Lee for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber.
With this scheduled title bout in Chicago on February 28, it could be the end of this rivalry that kickstarted back in September 2025.
While this match could settle the score between the two men, Becky and AJ could continue their rivalry into WrestleMania 42 with a No Holds Barred Match in Las Vegas.

3. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan Steel Cage Match
At WWE Royal Rumble 2026, Liv Morgan won the Women’s Royal Rumble Match and punched her ticket for WrestleMania 42.
While it has been several weeks since this victory, Morgan has yet to make her decision for “The Show of Shows,” but Stephanie Vaquer has put her name at the top of the list now.
On the February 16 episode of Monday Night Raw, Vaquer told off Morgan in a Spanish promo where she accused her having everything handed to her and didn’t deserve the title due to her reliance on The Judgment Day.
Not wanting to use Judgment Day as an excuse, Liv Morgan could choose Stephanie Vaquer and make their WWE Women’s World Championship bout a Steel Cage Match on the WrestleMania 42 card.

2. Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker Last Man Standing Match
On the October 13 edition of WWE Raw, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman turned their backs on Seth Rollins and excommunicated him from The Vision.
Then at the WWE Royal Rumble 2026 premium live event, a masked man attacked Breakker, hitting him with a Curb Stomp before tossing him into the ring to be eliminated from the Men’s Royal Rumble Match.
It now feels like Rollins will be behind the mask and making The Vision’s lives a living hell on Monday Night Raw.
Both Rollins and Breakker making their return from injury could lead to a showdown at WrestleMania 42 that could rightfully get the Last Man Standing stipulation to settle this simmering rivalry.

1. Drew McIntyre vs. Cody Rhodes Texas Bullrope Match
On the January 9 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Drew McIntyre defeated Cody Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell Match to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Since then, Rhodes and McIntyre have been at each other’s throats and getting into various brawls week after week.
Considering these two men have faced each other three times over the top prize on SmackDown since September 2025, it feels like there has to be another stipulation added to Rhodes vs. McIntyre if Cody wins the Elimination Chamber Match.
“The American Nightmare” choosing a Texas Bullrope Match to face “The Scottish Warrior” for the Undisputed WWE Championship would be intriguing to watch unfold at WrestleMania 42 to finally close out this feud.
