In WWE right now, notable tag teams look to be on the verge of breaking down.

The Miz and Carmelo Hayes appear ready to imminently implode, while The Street Profits have been teasing a split on social media.

But just as teams regularly split in WWE, new duos are always being put together.

Here are six fresh partnerships that could soon emerge on WWE TV.

6. Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton

On the September 26 edition of SmackDown, Randy Orton saved Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes from a beatdown at the hands of The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

Rhodes and Orton, of course, have history – Orton brought Rhodes into his Legacy faction over 15 years ago.

Over the past year the pair have had an informal alliance, but it now looks like that partnership will be made official as they battle The Vision’s tag team.

The real question, however, is how long Orton and Rhodes stay together, with subtle hints already planted that Orton will eventually turn on Rhodes and challenge him for the WWE Title.

5. Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid

On WWE NXT, the Fatal Influence tag team of Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx is no more.

On the September 23 edition of NXT, Nyx was written out of storylines – the 27-year-old turning down a new contract after feeling the offer was too low.

However, on the same show the Fatal Influence faction were seen confronting Lainey Reid.

It certainly appears that Reid will join the group, becoming Henley’s new tag team partner.

4. Nia Jax & Jade Cargill

On SmackDown, Nia Jax and Jade Cargill have been locked in a three-way feud with WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton since April.

On the September 26 edition of the show, they clashed once again in a three-way – with Stratton once more retaining her title.

In storyline terms the rivalry feels like it has run its course, and with few fresh directions for either woman as singles stars on SmackDown, it may be time for something new.

As a devastating heel duo, pairing Jax and Cargill together to chase the Women’s Tag Team Championships could be the answer.

3. Aleister Black & Damian Priest

Aleister Black and Damian Priest have also spent the summer feuding on WWE SmackDown, battling one another across multiple matches.

Coming out of that rivalry, however, neither man has a clear direction.

There are clear similarities between the two – charismatic, dark, brooding characters and standout in-ring workers.

With their similar vibes, pairing them up as a team could be an excellent addition to SmackDown’s already strong tag division.

2. IYO SKY & Rhea Ripley

On the September 22 edition of Raw, Asuka and Rhea Ripley delivered a standout bout, arguably one of WWE’s best televised matches of the year.

The match ended with Asuka turning heel, attacking ally IYO SKY and leaving both SKY and Ripley laying.

It now looks like Ripley and SKY will form a team to take on the Kabuki Warriors duo of Asuka and Kairi Sane.

With Ripley and SKY two of the division’s biggest stars, they would be a big-time team and one guaranteed to deliver excellent in-ring performances.

1. LA Knight & Jimmy Uso

The Usos reunited their team at WWE Wrestlepalooza, but how long this reunion lasts already appears in doubt.

Recent weeks have seen Jey Uso acting heelish and repeatedly attacking fellow babyface LA Knight.

This has left Jimmy Uso – who even teamed with Knight on the September 15 edition of Raw – conflicted and unhappy with his brother’s behavior.

While it could all be a swerve, the storyline seeds are clearly being planted for a Jey Uso heel turn, potentially pushing Knight and Jimmy Uso together as a team.
