On the October 3 edition of WWE SmackDown, after weeks of on-screen tension, the team of The Miz and Carmelo Hayes finally exploded.
As Carmelo Hayes made his way out to answer Sami Zayn’s US Title open challenge, The Miz blindsided his partner and laid him out with his patented Skull Crushing Finale.
The pair are now surely set to feud – but which other WWE teams could be next to split?
Here are six possibilities.
6. The Usos
Recent weeks have seen tension emerge within The Usos.
Only just reunited, the brothers have not been seeing eye-to-eye on WWE Raw.
The issues first began when Jey Uso entered into a feud with fellow babyface LA Knight, leaving Jimmy – who has been friendly with Knight – conflicted, while last week on Raw the returning Roman Reigns gave Jey a pep talk as Jimmy looked on skeptically.
It appears WWE could be setting up another split of the recently reformed duo – but the question is, which brother goes heel?

5. Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker
Paul Heyman has repeatedly stated that Bron Breakker will main event WrestleMania for years to come.
To reach that level, Breakker will need to break free of The Vision faction and end his tag team with Bronson Reed.
WWE may look to strap the rocket to him as early as this year, with a potential Royal Rumble win setting up his first WrestleMania main event.
If that’s the case, the Breakker–Reed partnership will almost certainly come to an end in the coming months, with a quick feud on the horizon.

4. Zaria & Sol Ruca
NXT tag team Sol Ruca and Zaria appeared on the October 3 edition of SmackDown.
The duo scored a win over Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre, setting up a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title shot against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
Whether they are called up to the main roster full-time as a team is another matter, however.
A breakup has already been teased, with Shayna Baszler recently returning to NXT and advising them to stay together, but with Ruca currently holding both the WWE Speed and NXT North American Championships, it seems likely WWE will eventually split the team and build to a feud.

3. Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez
Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez were first put together as a team of convenience when Liv Morgan suffered a shoulder injury in June.
Since forming, the duo have held and lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
The question now is how long they will last as a unit.
When Morgan returns, we could very well see her reunite with Rodriguez – leaving Perez bounced from the team and faction.

2. Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair
When Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss were first put together as a tag team in the summer, it was only intended to be short-lived.
Reportedly, the original plan was for them to team for a few weeks before moving into a feud.
However, the duo got over with fans and that run has led to them holding the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Nevertheless, with both established as singles stars in the division, a split and feud feels inevitable sooner rather than later.

1. The Street Profits
The Miz and Carmelo Hayes are not the only team whose demise has been teased on SmackDown.
The Street Profits’ potential break-up has been played into on television during their feud with The Wyatt Sicks, and both men have even hinted at it on social media.
Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford are both standout athletes with potential as singles stars.
In the wake of their imminent breakup, we could soon see if WWE decides to pull the trigger on either man.
