WWE is just a few weeks away from WrestleMania 42, which could lead to some anticipation for not just “The Show of Shows,” but also the Raw after Mania as well.
The show that follows the two-night event has always been known for delivering surprises as well as high-profile matches that put an emphasis on who will be important moving forward for the next year.
With the WWE Raw after WrestleMania 41 giving fans Stephanie Vaquer vs. IYO SKY, fans should be excited to see what the company has in store for this year’s program.
Here are six potential matches at WWE Raw after WrestleMania 42.
WWE Intercontinental Championship: Penta (c) vs. Je’Von Evans
On the March 2 edition of WWE Raw, Penta defeated Dominik Mysterio to win the Intercontinental Championship.
Ever since capturing the gold, Penta has been adamant about proving himself as a fighting champion and has even adopted the open challenge concept.
With successful defenses against El Grande Americano and Dragon Lee so far, Penta has a good chance to retain the gold even past WrestleMania 42.
This could lead to another open challenge on the WWE Raw following the event and see him defend against Je’Von Evans in what will surely be a potential showstealing bout.
WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Sol Ruca
On the March 16 edition of WWE Raw, AJ Lee defeated Bayley to retain the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Post match, Becky Lynch returned to attack Lee from behind and laid her out.
Lynch raised the IC Title over her head after this attack, indicating that she was coming for the gold she lost to Lee back at WWE Elimination Chamber 2026.
This should set the stage for Lynch to challenge Lee for the title at WWE WrestleMania 42 and could see Becky win back the coveted gold.
Then on the WWE Raw after WrestleMania 42, Lynch could issue an open challenge to anyone in a similar fashion that Lee did, leading to NXT star Sol Ruca accepting the challenge in what could turn out to be her official main roster debut.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: Bayley & Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie Bella)
The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships has become one of the most sought after titles in all of the company right now.
While The Irresistible Forces are set to defend their titles against The Bella Twins on the March 20 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, there could be as many as six teams vying for the gold come WrestleMania 42.
Over on Monday Night Raw, Bayley and Lyra Valkyrioa have made it more than clear that they have their sights set on the gold that eluded them at WrestleMania 41.
With WrestleMania likely to have a multi-team battle, Bayley and Lyra could walk out the titles to face The Bellas in an impromptu tag title match on the WWE Raw following “The Show of Shows.”

Finn Balor vs. JD McDonagh
On the March 9 episode of Monday Night Raw, The Judgment Day turned on Finn Balor in a vicious attack on their former stablemate.
This should set up Balor to face Dominik Mysterio in a grudge match that is more than two years in the making at WrestleMania 42.
Then on the WWE Raw after Mania, Balor could get some revenge on his former protege that betrayed him in favor of The Judgment Day.
Balor vs. JD McDonagh would be an interesting way to follow up on The Judgment Day betrayal and his bout with “Dirty Dom” the night prior.
The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez) vs. Stephanie Vaquer, IYO SKY & Rhea Ripley
Speaking of The Judgment Day, the ladies of the group could stand front and center on the WWE Raw after WrestleMania 42.
Liv Morgan is now scheduled to challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 42. Depending on the result, their issues could continue on Raw following the event.
Meanwhile, Raw star Rhea Ripley won the Women’s Elimination Chamber and will now challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at “The Show of Shows.”
Having The Judgment Day’s Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez face off with Vaquer, Ripley and IYO SKY would be a wonderful way to highlight some of the top female talent on Monday nights on the biggest episode of the year.
World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Oba Femi
Following his emphatic answering of his open challenge, Oba Femi will now go one-on-one with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42.
After laying out “The Beast” in shocking fashion, there is no denying Femi is destined to be a top star and WWE should not waste any time to strike while the iron is hot with him.
Meanwhile, Roman Reigns will challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at the event in what will be a personal battle between both, but could see the top prize on Raw change hands.
Wanting to keep Raw with a weekly world champion on the show, WWE could shock the world by having Oba Femi come out to challenge and overwhelm Reigns to win the World Heavyweight Championship on the Raw after WrestleMania 42.
