On the road to WWE WrestleMania 42, CM Punk has a target on his back after his recent comments towards Roman Reigns and his family.
With the main event of Mania set between Punk and Reigns, it feels like “The Best In The World” has become an enemy to many stars on the WWE roster.
Ahead of WrestleMania, Punk could be in action against any number of names in WWE or even from Roman’s family as Mania fast approaches.
Here are six potential matches for CM Punk before WWE WrestleMania 42.
CM Punk vs. Jimmy Uso
On the March 2 edition of WWE Raw, CM Punk made things personal with Roman Reigns when he stated that he would bury “The OTC” next to his father at WrestleMania 42.
This led to The Usos confronting Punk the week following, warning “The Best In The World” for bringing their late uncle into his rivalry with Reigns.
However, Punk refused to truly apologize and instead chose to bring up Roman’s past transgressions towards his family and how Reigns never apologized for everything he did wrong to The Usos during his run as the “Head of the Table” in The Bloodline.
It was Jimmy Uso who punched Punk to end this segment, which could lead to a showdown between the two men in the weeks ahead of Mania.

CM Punk vs. Jey Uso
While Jimmy Uso was calm and poised in his approach to asking CM Punk for an apology on the March 9 WWE Raw, Jey Uso was a little more angry and unhinged.
It was Jey that stepped up into Punk’s face and demanded an apology from the current World Heavyweight Champion.
Known as the hot head of The Bloodline, Jey showed his love and passion for his family when he demanded Punk to say sorry for bringing up his late uncle Sika Anoa’i.
Considering their history as friends and opponents when Punk won the World Heavyweight Championship in 2025, fans could see a rematch with Jey Uso ahead of the WrestleMania 42 showdown with Roman Reigns.

CM Punk & Finn Balor vs. The Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh)
At WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, CM Punk defeated Finn Balor to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Post match, Punk and Balor showed respect to one another with a handshake.
Ahead of this match, Punk told Balor that he felt that The Judgment Day was holding him back and not allowing him to reach his true potential.
Then on the March 9 episode of Monday Night Raw, Balor was confronted by Dominik Mysterio for costing him the Intercontinental Championship before a brawl broke out that led to The Judgment Day turning on the former WWE Universal Champion.
Now that he has no friends or allies to combat his former faction, Balor might look to Punk for backup in a tag team match with The Judgment Day’s “Dirty Dom” and JD McDonagh.

CM Punk vs. Solo Sikoa
After CM Punk’s comments towards Roman Reigns and his family, it feels like he has become an enemy to everyone who used to be a part of The Bloodline.
While The Usos stepped up to their friend to demand an apology, Punk might find that the other members of the Anoa’i family dynasty might try to get revenge by other means.
Over on Friday Night SmackDown, Solo Sikoa and The MFTs have taken anything and everything they want by force since forming in 2025.
Sikoa heading to WWE Raw to face Punk could be a great way to show that The MFTs leader still cares about his family and is willing to set aside his differences with Roman Reigns to stand up for his late uncle as well.

CM Punk & Rey Mysterio vs. The Usos
During their confrontation on the March 9 episode of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk was confronted by World Tag Team Champions The Usos.
This face-to-face might lead to Punk needing to find some backup to combat Jimmy and Jey Uso in tag team action.
In the past, Punk has teamed with one former rival turned friend Rey Mysterio against the likes of The Vision.
Punk calling on Mysterio again to face The Usos would present an intriguing tag team bout that could be exciting to watch unfold in the weeks ahead of WrestleMania 42.

CM Punk vs. Jacob Fatu
There is one other member of The Bloodline and Anoa’i family dynasty who might want to take revenge against CM Punk in their other hands and that is Jacob Fatu.
Since signing with WWE in 2024, Fatu has been running roughshod over anyone in front of him and has become a major star on Friday Night SmackDown.
Fatu has only been across the ring from Punk on one occasion in the Men’s WarGames at WWE Survivor Series 2024.
To face “The Best In The World” in a singles match, Fatu could make the move to Monday Night Raw and challenge Punk to a fight, wanting to beat respect for his late uncle into the current World Heavyweight Champion before his main event against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.
