With WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night One in the books, attention now turns to Night Two of the massive event.
While there were twists and turns on SummerSlam Saturday, WWE may attempt to outdo themselves with tonight’s card.
Here are six last-minute changes to WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night Two.
6. Surprise Team Added To TLC Six-Way Tag Team Match

After months of stiff competition for the WWE Tag Team Championships, SummerSlam Night Two will see six of the best teams on SmackDown compete against each other in a huge TLC Match.
The Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy & Dexter Lumis) will put their titles on the line against #DIY, Fraxiom, the Motor City Machine Gunes and Andrade & Rey Fenix in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs match.
In homage to the first official TLC match back at SummerSlam 2000 between Edge & Christian, The Hardy Boyz and Dudley Boyz, this match is sure to be thrilling and reminiscent of that.
However, despite six teams being enough for a suitable amount of carnage, there could be a last minute addition that sees a seventh team enter the fray. From Matt & Jeff Hardy themselves to a possible debut from Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marc Quen) – a last minute swap could make the match even more interesting.

5. Bayley Attacks Lyra Valkyria

Ahead of WrestleMania 41, Bayley was set to compete alongside Lyra Valkyria for Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
However, after a backstage attack from Becky Lynch rendered her unable to compete – with Becky simply taking her spot in the match and winning the belts alongside Valkyria.
With Bayley set to miss SummerSlam now as well as WrestleMania 41, potentially this will finally be the straw that breaks the camel’s back for Bayley as a babyface, taking matters into her own hands and targeting her former tag team partner.
If Bayley were to turn heel and wipe out Lyra Valkyria in advance of the match, perhaps she could find herself facing Lynch one-on-one rather than watching from the sidelines, or she could cause Valkyria to lose what is her final chance at Lynch’s title.

4. Cardi B Comes Back For Night Two

After welcoming fans to Night One of SummerSlam 2025 – Cardi B seemingly went on to have an enjoyable night at MetLife Stadium.
Meeting fans in the merch store during the event, she would later take in some of the action from a ringside seat alongside social media star Druski.
While it has been previously been reported that Cardi was only attending one night of SummerSlam- the boisterous hip-hop star is known for doing what she wants to do!
There aren’t currently any announced celebrities appearing on Night Two so perhaps Cardi will stick around and see out the weekend.

3. Special Guest Referee For Intercontinental Championship match

On Night Two, Dominik Mysterio is set to put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against AJ Styles.
After repeatedly duck Styles by way of using a doctor’s note for his injured ribs – it seems that Mysterio is finally going to face “The Phenomenal One”.
Since it is “Dirty Dom” after all, perhaps some shenanigans are to be expected, so a special guest referee may be required to maintain order.
With AJ Styles already having mentioned Rey Mysterio on the SummerSlam Kickoff Show and the WWE Hall of Famer reportedly set to return to action this month – Dominik might need to watch out.

2. The Final Boss Appears

After making a major impact at Elimination Chamber, seemingly delivering the signal to John Cena to turn heel – The Final Boss, The Rock has been totally absent.
As WWE seemingly looks to keep storylines closer to the vest – it is entirely possible that if The Rock was planning to appear, the list of people in the know about the potential surprise would be short.
Since John Cena seemingly turned babyface on SmackDown before SummerSlam – perhaps The Final Boss will reveal himself to have found a new alliance… Perhaps even with Cody Rhodes.
While there’s not a massive expectation that The Rock will show up during John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes, the Street Fight stipulation does open up the possibility for interference.

1. John Cena Lied

After shocking fans worldwide when he turned heel at Elimination Chamber, ahead of SummerSlam – John Cena has vowed that his dastardly days are done.
While John Cena’s babyface turn on WWE SmackDown was certainly a feel good moment – pledging to fans that he had seen the light and was back to himself – the switch up was a bit abrupt.
So abrupt in fact that it set off alarm bells for some fans that perhaps this return to form may be too good to be true.
With Cena set to face Rhodes in a Street Fight for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam, we’ll have to see if his behavior matches his words – or if it was instead meant to lull Cody into a false sense of security.
