With John Cena’s final WWE match fast approaching on December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event, there could still be some changes set for the show.
From potential surprises to storyline details that actually have nothing to do with Cena, there are some exciting ideas about what could still shift before showtime.
Here are six possible changes that could be made to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
6. Special John Cena Homages Throughout The Night
It would make complete sense to see each and every performer who appears at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event pay homage to John Cena in some way.
From their moves to their attire, it will be fun to see what each performer comes up with for this massive occasion.
With Washington, DC set to host the big event, it would also be a perfect time for some patriotic pyrotechnics, a detail for which Cody Rhodes will surely not disappoint.
Amid video packages of his past achievements, hopefully there are enough well-wishes on-screen from former rivals both inside and outside WWE that there won’t be a dry eye left in the house when the heartfelt event comes to a close.

5. Mystery Masked Man Revealed
One potentially big moment that could shake things up at Saturday Night’s Main Event would be an appearance by the recent masked assailant who has been striking in WWE.
While it has yet to be revealed who the mystery attacker was at WarGames, the masked man struck again on WWE Raw by attacking both Rey Mysterio and LA Knight.
With the potential that his identity could be revealed at Saturday Night’s Main Event, it remains to be seen if the mysterious assailant would have any reason to strike.
Seemingly having aligned with The Vision, it could be that the attacker ends up making an appearance if not a full reveal.

4. Oba Femi Attacked
Facing Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event could be a massive opportunity for any wrestler but doing so on the finale of John Cena’s farewell tour is particularly meaningful.
So meaningful in fact that it is possible there is someone from WWE NXT who wouldn’t want to see Oba Femi get this opportunity and would take him out of action ahead of the bout.
Leaving a fun mystery for the night as to who will appear to face Cody Rhodes, it could end up being any number of other top NXT stars who didn’t make the show.
Trick Williams, Josh Briggs or Lexis King could certainly decide to shake things up, perhaps assuming that taking out Oba Femi would allow them the bout. Instead, Femi could be replaced by Ricky Saints, Ethan Page or any of the aforementioned on the night.

3. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley Added
With the potential to add an additional match on the night, a women’s tag team bout could be added during the big event.
Recent WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and clear fan favorites Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss could represent the main roster against NXT’s devilish duo of Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley.
With the match able to be interrupted by Nia Jax and Lash Legend or even the Kabuki Warriors, it would be fun to see a good old fashioned brawl on the special occasion.
A match that would end in absolute chaos could be a fun showcase of numerous exciting stars from the WWE women’s division.

2. Gunther Taken Out
While GUNTHER has already laid out his intention to make John Cena give up, perhaps someone will still stand in his way of taking out yet another legend.
If any other WWE star were to attack GUNTHER to take him out of action, they could potentially steal his place against Cena.
It could also create a brand new rivalry with The Ring General afterwards.
The likes of Cqrmelo Hayes and The Miz have been denied the chance to face Cena in his retirement tour and might want to take their last opportunity.

1. Lots Of Surprise Celebrity Appearances
Unlikely to announce in advance all of the well-known attendees set for the night, there could be some celebrity surprises at John Cena’s last match in Washington, DC.
With a notable Hollywood career that has seen him on-screen with numerous well-known stars, there could be any number of known names that are in attendance in support of Cena.
WWE has welcomed celebrities with open arms in recent years, and Cena’s farewell will likely be no different.
