With plenty of changes coming in the near future in WWE, there could be some known babyfaces turning to the dark side.

From long rumored heel turns that could finally happen to others that might be out of nowhere, there are a few WWE stars that could benefit from turning heel.

Here are five WWE stars that could turn heel in the near future.

5. Randy Orton

Perhaps the most obvious WWE star that seemingly could turn heel is Randy Orton.

However, part of the charm of the Randy Orton character is that he is quite upfront about the fact that at any time he could elect to go full Viper and attack.

But he shows restraint and does not – leading him to become one of the most respected characters on WWE TV.

Whether or not he will be able to stave off the voices in his head from encouraging him to turn on Cody Rhodes in pursuit of his record breaking 15th World Championship win remains to be seen but feels quite possible.

4. Nikki Bella

While Nikki Bella is a beloved public figure for her fearless personality and strong sense of female empowerment – her WWE character was a great heel.

One of the most notable heels of the Divas era, Bella pulled no punches and was certainly not above dealing out both dastardly words and deeds to get her goals accomplished.

Potentially a character arc that could be revisited with the eventual future return of Liv Morgan from injury, their dynamic could flip and see Nikki Bella turn heel.

With reports that Liv will return as a babyface, Bella could always become her newest heel rival as the duo pick back up their conflict but from very different perspectives.

3. Bayley

One WWE character that is seemingly in flux is Bayley as she continues to seem trapped between two personalities.

With Bayley’s current character seemingly riding the line between knowing which former iteration of herself is best suited for the future – it could be a cool evolution to see something entirely new come from the story.

If Bayley were to develop a brand new character that captured her same ruthless heel essence but perhaps more in the vein of a disgruntled veteran like Drew McIntyre – she could have a lot of compelling stories to tell.

Continuing to feud with Lyra Valkyria, she could also take aim at Becky Lynch, IYO SKY and Nikki Bella for their perceived slights of Bayley in the past.

2. The Street Profits

Sometimes pitched to break-up, sometimes to turn heel – Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford continue to put on amazing in-ring performances despite their characters feeling a tiny bit stagnant.

While able to continue having an overall likeability, The Street Profits could get away with riding the line between being righteous babyfaces and more heelish tricksters by turning heel.

Unlocking the freedom to lie, cheat and steal – the Street Profits could maximize their opportunities and show off a brand new grit and edge to their performance that hasn’t been captured yet on the main roster.

While able to specifically show off their impressive athleticism, noting that the duo weren’t afraid to turn to unconventional means in order to win could unlock important new options for the former WWE Tag Team Champions to attempt to reclaim their gold.

1. Rhea Ripley

Although it is seemingly unlikely, Rhea Ripley turning heel in WWE could be a major shift that changes the direction of the women’s division across brands.

While Ripley is set to team up with IYO SKY at WWE Crown Jewel 2025 in Perth, Australia – it could be a unique opportunity for her to do something shocking in her home country.

Potentially finding a way to turn heel during the course of the event, while her dastardly actions would likely be warmly received – the weight of her actions would land at a later time.

Using the hometown hero trope in a new and fresh way, Ripley could end up making an iconic moment in Australia as her character reignites her former sense of brutality.
