Ahead of the first-ever two night SummerSlam 2025, there are set to be some intriguing changes on WWE Raw on Netflix.
While some storylines are seemingly set to pivot due to talent being out of action due to injury, other changes have clearly been in the works for months.
Here are five WWE Raw changes that could be coming ahead of SummerSlam 2025.
5. Return of Roman Reigns
While WWE fans continues to patiently await the potential return of Roman Reigns, perhaps he will make his big return on Netflix.
Last seen on WWE TV on the after WrestleMania 41, Reigns could choose to return in order to seek revenge against Paul Heyman, and of course, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
With an unclear future story for Roman and now potentially Seth Rollins set to miss time due to injury – perhaps an entirely new feud could begin.
Able to conceivably involve himself in matters on SmackDown, there might be arguably more interesting stories to be told on Raw.

4. Jimmy & Jey Uso Reunite
Although Jimmy Uso has recently featured on SmackDown – teaming with Jacob Fatu in efforts against Solo Sikoa – it might be time for The Usos to reunite on WWE Raw.
With the Judgment Day holding the World Tag Team Championship, it would be a major match to see those two teams square off for the titles at SummerSlam.
While Jey is set for action to determine whether or not he could get another shot at GUNTHER, in the event he is unsuccessful, reuniting with Jimmy gives the pair a fun and refreshing story for summer.
Possibly expanding the match to also feature the New Day could give a showcase for the tag team division at the first-ever two night SummerSlam.

3. ‘The Oracle’ Paul Heyman Takes Over
In the event Seth Rollins’ injury is severe enough to see him out of action for months – “The Oracle” Paul Heyman may need to take over their growing faction.
Set to carry on leadership for Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker, it would be interesting to see if Heyman would continue to tote the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase.
Potentially set to disrupt some plans ahead of SummerSlam if Rollins is out of action for long – perhaps Heyman begins looking for a new member to join the ranks.
Likely able to recruit just about anyone, it would be intriguing to see if a new member was added in his absence, how Rollins might react upon his return.

2. New Women’s World Champion – Naomi
There is a brand new Women’s World Champion and she isn’t even technically on the WWE Raw roster.
After a brutal battle between Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY saw both competitors down and out, Naomi would use the moment to strike and cash-in her Money in the Bank briefcase and pick up the victory.
Now that the landscape of the WWE Raw women’s division has shifted with the addition of Naomi – there are a lot of interesting places for the storyline to go.
Whether or not she continues to feud with Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY – or if something entirely different is planned – it is sure to be a wild ride ahead of SummerSlam.

1. GUNTHER vs. CM Punk
In the vein of wild builds to SummerSlam, there was an intriguing match announced to determine the number one contender to GUNTHER’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
A packed gauntlet match set to feature Bron Breakker, Jey Uso, CM Punk, LA Knight and Penta is scheduled to determine who will go on to face GUNTHER at SummerSlam 2025.
However, if CM Punk were to emerge victorious from the gauntlet match, it would be intriguing to see him go up against GUNTHER in the build to SummerSlam.
With two very different personalities and styles, the pair could be a very unique clash of generational titans.
