5 Ways To Improve AEW Rampage

In recent times AEW Rampage isn’t what it was originally intended to be.

The show was meant to be equal to AEW’s Dynamite over on TBS.

However, in the last few months, not much of note has happened on the show, turning it into AEW’s B-Show.

Something that has also shown in a ratings drop since the show’s inception.

If you wanna see great wrestling Rampage is still the place to be, but what else could the show offer?

5. Special Matches

How do you make Rampage “Rampage”? You think out of the box and make mad television.

The name should have some meaning to it and it should also feel different to AEW Dynamite.

Yes, sometimes AEW has tried out a Hardcore/Texas Death Match here and there – but maybe they should make it a specialty of Rampage to feature some stipulations.

It gets people talking and provides a welcomed change to the weekly formula.

4. Bigger Star Power

One of the biggest complaints of fans has been the lack of star power on AEW Rampage recently.

While guys like Hook and Keith Lee are able to flourish, bigger stars have become rare guests. When was the last time CM Punk wrestled on Rampage?

Since that seems to be what people want it should be an easy fix to feature bigger stars regularly.

They got enough of them to do it.

3. Build The Show More On Dynamite

Rarely do we even get a backstage segment on Dynamite hyping the smaller show. We usually just get a rundown of the matches at the end of the show.

Dynamite should feature at least one storyline that is designed to culminate on Rampage.

Simply said: The smaller program should benefit from the older and bigger brother.

Tell your audience they can get excited for Friday Nights. Make a SIGNIFICANT impact on Dynamite that leads people to Rampage.

2. Make It Live

Right now AEW Rampage is taped. Apart from next week’s episode from Texas. That show will actually be live.

The show will be headlined by Hangman Page defending his AEW World Championship against Adam Cole.

As you can see a live show gives AEW’s fans a lot more reasons to watch it.

The results are not leaked in advance and live tv makes it feel like anything can and will happen.

In addition, you can put on matches with a bigger magnitude as their outcome is still very unknown to fans.

1. Move Day & Time

Let’s best honest! Friday’s at 10pm isn’t exactly a great time to air. Especially after SmackDown on FOX – although the show is supposed to attract a different audience.

Maybe AEW and TNT should air at 8pm on a Thurdays for example – unopposed by any competition.

Furthermore, it would help to get more eyes on the product.
