5 More WWE Title Changes Coming Soon

Share

WWE stars Solo Sikoa and Gunther

At WWE Night of Champions 2025 there was a big title change, as Solo Sikoa defeated Jacob Fatu for the United States Championship.

After this weekend saw both United States Championships change hands after Giulia defeated Zelina Vega on SmackDown, there are several other WWE titles that seem likely to change hands soon as well.

Here are five more WWE title changes that seem to be coming soon.

5. Women’s Tag Team Championship

WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan

With Liv Morgan ruled out of action for several months, there is an important decision on the horizon for the WWE Raw and SmackDown GMs.

Morgan has a shoulder injury and has already undergone surgery, leaving her WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion partner Raquel Rodriguez in a unique spot.

Whether the GMs elect to have Raquel vacate the championship or rather follow the previously set precedence of simply replacing Liv Morgan with another partner – likely Roxanne Perez – remains to be seen.

However, with WWE Evolution 2025 coming up, there could be a full title change at that event regardless.

4. Intercontinental Championship

WWE stars Dominik Mysterio and AJ Styles

It was confirmed on the June 23 edition of WWE Raw that the Intercontinental Championship match that was set for Night of Champions had been cancelled.

Set to feature Dominik Mysterio facing off against AJ Styles, an injury to Mysterio led to the match being pulled, but the match will still be taking place soon.

Per WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce, Styles will get the first shot at the title when Mysterio is able to defend it.

Whether it be Styles who wins the title from Mysterio at that point, or someone else after that match, it certainly seems like Mysterio could be dropping it at some point this summer.

3. WWE Women’s Championship

After retaining her WWE Women’s Championship in a brutal match against Nia Jax on SmackDown ahead of WWE Night of Champions 2025, Tiffany Stratton has certainly proven that she is a dynamic champion.

While it would be interesting to see Stratton defend against Jade Cargill in a one-on-one match at SummerSlam after Cargill won the Queen of the Ring tournament, that may not be the case.

Given the focus on the first-ever two night SummerSlam, there could be some other big names in the mix.

Perhaps losing the title to Naomi via a cash-in or some sort of Alexa Bliss/Charlotte Flair surprise ahead of the event – we could soon see a change for the WWE Women’s Championship.

2. WWE Tag Team Championship

With so many teams on the hunt for the titles, it seems unlikely that the Street Profits will simply continue to retain them each time they are faced with new challengers.

Perhaps with a heel team picking up the titles in the interim and leading the way to a babyface team capturing them at SummerSlam, we could see some movement between the many tag teams currently on SmackDown.

While there continues to be a rumor of the potential involvement of Matt and Jeff Hardy in the WWE summer tag team plans, it seems this field is already quite full on the SmackDown side.

Since the SmackDown before Night of Champions tag team title match devolved into a complete brawl, it definitely seems that the next time the titles are on the line, there will be new champions.

1. World Heavyweight Championship

After fan favorite Jey Uso lost the World Heavyweight Championship to GUNTHER, it was revealed that GUNTHER’s next opponent would be returning veteran Goldberg.

The match is being advertised as Goldberg’s last, but Michael Cole has made sure to mention on commentary that it would be interesting to see what would happen if Goldberg wins.

If he does, it could potentially pave the way for a future showdown with Bron Breakker or a returning Roman Reigns to run their previous feud back one last time before Goldberg hangs up his boots for good.
