Amid continued break-ups in professional wrestling, sometimes there is also a reunion – with a major one coming together in AEW.
With a legendary team already poised to reunite at Forbidden Door, what other AEW tag teams could get back together again?
Here are five AEW tag teams that could reunite.
5. Cope & Christian Cage
One of the most recognized tag teams in WWE history is on the verge of making their official debut in AEW albeit under different monikers.
It isn’t Edge & Christian – but it is Cope & Cage, together again but this time in All Elite Wrestling.
Already announced for a match at Forbidden Door against Cage’s former Patriarchy faction members Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian – it seems the reunion is officially on.
While we have seen a previous cameo in AEW from Gangrel – we’ll have to wait and see whether or not the entire trio comes together on-screen next!

4. Jurassic Express (Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy)
In a blast from AEW past, there could be a re-imagination of the former fan favorite tag team Jurassic Express.
While Luchasaurus would go on to be re-branded Killswitch and Jungle Boy would drop the moniker in favor of simply using his actual name Jack Perry – neither have been seen in AEW any time recently.
With some speculation back in June that Killswitch was medically cleared but wasn’t being used with similar reports regarding Perry’s AEW status – it isn’t exactly certain what is going on with either.
However if the former AEW World Tag Team Champions wanted to reunite in a new way – it could be a very intriguing storyline.

3. Golden Jets (Kenny Omega & Chris Jericho)
A tag team that was cut short after Omega was out of action due to diverticulitis, this team could be revisited in the future.
While Kenny Omega has returned to action in AEW, Chris Jericho remains off of TV after dropping the ROH World Championship to Bandido in April 2025.
Seemingly an iconic pairing, the duo did manage to beat the Young Bucks at AEW Full Gear 2023.
Since the duo never went on to actually challenge for the AEW Tag Team Championship – perhaps it could still happen in the future.

2. MJF & Wardlow
While Wardlow remains out of action in AEW, it was recently noted that he remains contracted with the company and could return if the story was right.
Now that MJF has been ousted from the Hurt Syndicate, perhaps he will re-ignite his former alliance with Wardlow.
Since FTR are currently also heels but attached to a new manager in Stokely, there could be a nearly complete Pinnacle reunion incoming – albeit sans Shawn Spears who signed with WWE in 2024.
With MJF intent on getting back his beloved AEW World Championship by any means necessary – he could be willing to call upon old pals for help.

1. Kenny Omega & Hangman Adam Page
One of the more complex tales of tag team friends turned foes and back again is that of Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page.
Having previously captured AEW Tag Team Championship gold in 2020, there have been plenty of twists and turns in the subsequent five years.
Now that Hangman Adam Page is the current AEW World Champion, it could be Kenny Omega poised to have an emotional story play out as he finds his way back into contention.
While Page looks to attempt to ward off MJF at Forbidden Door – perhaps he will need to call on an old ally for support.
