A WWE star has called 2026 ‘crazy’ after AJ Lee became Women’s Intercontinental Champion at Elimination Chamber.
The February 28 edition of WWE Elimination Chamber saw AJ Lee defeat Becky Lynch to capture her first championship since returning to the company.
While Becky Lynch may have been pointed in her criticism of the loss of her title, WWE management would have a different take, with a former champion also weighing in.
The inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria would reflect on AJ Lee becoming the latest star to hold the title, tweeting:
“2026, you’re crazy”
The tweet would be accompanied by the last moments from the match at Elimination Chamber, with Lynch tapping to the Black Widow.
Valkyria would also roast Becky Lynch on social media, taking a shot at the former champion’s choice of ring attire.
Lynch and Valkyria were WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, holding the title for a single day before losing it back to Judgment Day (Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez) at the Raw after WrestleMania 41 last year.
Following her first championship win in almost twelve years, AJ Lee would comment on the moment, noting she “wouldn’t have pictured it a few months ago.”
