Wth John Cena’s in-ring career at an end, a current WWE star has revealed they want to step into his cross-media shoes.
John Cena’s retirement tour came to an end at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 last year with a loss to GUNTHER.
In a recent interview with the Chicago Sun-Times, Chelsea Green revealed her goals outside of wrestling, revealing she wants to be the John Cena of the WWE women’s division, saying:
“What I can focus on (are) my goals outside of professional wrestling.
“I want to improve my acting skills, my public speaking skills and my hosting skills to make sure that I’m constantly building a resume that is undeniable.
“I would love to be the next John Cena of professional wrestling for the women’s division. I would love to be in movies and TV and elevating the next generation of WWE talent, but that’s a big goal.
“So, you know, I’m going to continue to work on that and put it out into the universe, and I’ll manifest, and whatever happens, happens.”
Green would receive praise from Cody Rhodes in the interview, with The American Nightmare saying that he doesn’t think she realizes how special she is to the fans.
Chelsea Green is currently out of action due to injury, with the WWE star providing an update on her recovery and sharing the hope she will be cleared for an in-ring return soon.
