The first two WWE stars to qualify for this year’s Elimination Chamber matches have officially been confirmed.
This past Saturday, Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan won the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches respectively.
The wins earned Reigns and Morgan guaranteed world title matches at WWE WrestleMania 42.
Reigns has already chosen to face World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk at Mania, as confirmed on Raw this past Monday.
That means the winner of this year’s Elimination Chambr will challenge Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania.
As for the women, Morgan has yet to choose between Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer and WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill (or Jordynne Grace, who challenges Cargill for the title next week).
However, the same rule applies – when Morgan makes her choice, the Elimination Chamber winner will face the other champion.
On tonight’s SmackDown, the first qualifying matches for the Elimination Chamber took place with a three-way for the men and a three-way for the women.
First to take place was the women’s, which featured Lash Legend, Chelsea Green and Tiffany Stratton.
It was Stratton who picked up the win by pinning Green, confirming her spot in the Chamber match.
The men’s qualifier took place as the SmackDown main event and feature Solo Sikoa, Aleister Black and Randy Orton.
It was Orton who scored the win, pinning Sikoa.
Next week’s SmackDown Elimination Chamber qualifying matches are Giulia vs Alexa Bliss vs Zelina, and Cody Rhodes vs Jacob Fatu vs Sami Zayn.
Monday’s WWE Raw will feature Elimination Chamber qualifiers as well, one of which will feature Rhea Ripley.
