Former World Heavyweight Seth Rollins has admitted that he “hates” a new WWE show that debuted earlier this year.
2025 has been the first year of WWE on Netflix, which has generally revolved around Raw airing on the platform every week.
However, another show that was produced for Netflix this year, WWE Unreal, debuted to a mixed reception.
The idea of Unreal was to provide an unprecedented look at the behind-the-scenes of WWE, including how matches are put together, talents interacting backstage, and even how referees communicate with both talent and backstage during matches to coordinate things.
While a lot of people find it intriguing to know how those things work, there’s also an argument that it ruins the ‘magic’ of wrestling to know how it all works.
In an appearance on Bert Kreischer’s Something’s Burning show, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins shared their thoughts on Unreal, with Lynch first saying:
“We’ve talked about this. When we were fans, we would have loved to have seen it. We would have loved to have seen it.”
Rollins then added:
“Yeah, but I hate it. I do hate it. I don’t hate all of it. There’s some parts of it that I think are fascinating and interesting.
“But there’s some things that, in our business… everybody knows what it is, everybody knows that it’s predetermined and planned, but the gray area, that one little question that like, ‘Maybe they really don’t like each other. Maybe there’s something there. What could happen?’
“That unpredictability that it creates, that’s the magic, that’s where the magic happens in our business, is that little seed of doubt. “And when you start to just chip away at that, it becomes a bit tricky.”

Rollins is currently out of action after suffering a shoulder injury at Crown Jewel against Cody Rhodes last month.
The expected timeline for his return would put him close to being back around WrestleMania season, but it could be tight in terms of him being ready for Mania itself.
