Luke Menzies, formerly known as Ridge Holland, has opened up about his time with WWE following his departure from the company.
Menzies was informed by WWE in October that his contract wouldn’t be renewed when it was due to expire on November 14.
However, Menzies was vocal on social media about the effect the decision had on his life given he suffered an injury in September and had just undergone surgery, leaving him unable to wrestle for upwards of six months.
WWE then terminated his contract early believing he had breached his contract with his comments.
In a new video on his YouTube channel, Menzies has reflected on his time with WWE the positives of his experience, saying:
“I just want to firstly say that my time with WWE was majority on a positive note, I enjoyed it. I got to wrestle at WrestleMania, I got to be around some great people and travel the world. It was a hugely positive influence on my life, and I am grateful for it.
“I know the last 12 months has been rough, and the negative always overshadows the positive, and I just want to reiterate that my time in WWE was great and that I am grateful for it and the things that I achieved.
“Coming from a small town in Yorkshire playing professional Rugby, it’s something that no-one really does. Everyone stays in the little town, in the little bubble, and I’m proud I took the risk to break out and take my life across the world without any real plan.
“I just wanna make sure everyone knows I’m super grateful for the opportunities.”

A GoFundMe was opened to support Menzies and his family given the circumstances of his exit from WWE.
Chelsea Green and Omos have both donated $1000 monthly. AEW stars Nick Jackson and Kyle Fletcher have donated $1000 each as well, as has former WWE Champion Raj Dhesi (Jinder Mahal).
We continue to wish Menzies all the best.
