Rhea Ripley has commented after the return of former rival Liv Morgan at WWE Survivor Series 2025.
In what was the final WWE Premium Live Event match of John Cena’s illustrious career, the “Greatest of All-Time” tasted defeat to Dominik Mysterio and lost his Intercontinental Championship to “Dirty Dom” in the process.
While all members of The Judgment Day got involved in the match in an attempt to help Dom retain, it was the return of his on-screen girlfriend Liv Morgan which proved pivotal.
Five months on from separating her shoulder in June, Morgan made her appearance whilst the referee was down, and at first appeared to have betrayed Mysterio when she struck him and jumped into the arms of Cena.
However, Morgan’s expression soon changed as she hit Cena with a low blow, which then allowed for Dominik to take advantage and win back his IC Title.
Whilst appearing on ESPN Sports Center, Rhea Ripley was asked what she made of Morgan’s return, with “The Eradicator” recalling the moment she “knew it was over” for Cena in the match:
“It was wild. I don’t even know how to describe the emotions that I was feeling. I was watching it in awe and kind of like a fan, like ‘is this real?’ Is this actually happening?
“Liv obviously slapped Dom and I was like maybe she’s seen everything he’s been doing with Roxanne and The Judgment Day, but then when she changed her facial expression I knew it was over for John Cena at that time, because I know how tactical Liv and Dom can be and how slimy they are. So I knew right then and there they had that in the bag.
“You just gotta throw your hands in the air and go ‘oh well’. I guess John Cena didn’t see that coming.”

Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan share a storied history with one another both as teammates and rivals, with their feud becoming highly personal last year after Dominik Mysterio left Ripley for Morgan at SummerSlam 2024.
Along with her ‘ex boyfriend’ Ripley also secured a big win at Survivor Series – with herself, AJ Lee, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and IYO SKY defeating Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, Lash Legend and Becky Lynch in WarGames.
