Paul Heyman has shared his thoughts on John Cena and the upcoming WWE Survivor Series 2025 premium live event.
Survivor Series is coming up on Saturday in San Diego and will feature John Cena defending the Intercontinental Championship against Dominik Mysterio.
There will also be the men’s and women’s WarGames matches, with Paul Heyman having an invested interest in the men’s.
Heyman will accompany the team of Brock Lesnar, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul as they face World Heavyweight CM Punk, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and The Usos.
Appearing on ESPN First Take today and commenting on the WarGames match and how WWE Survivor Series is “really an informercial for WrestleMania”, Heyman said:
“First of all, the cast that’s in this WarGames is just… this is the greatest assembly of talent on either side.
“I mean, just the three people that you saw inside the ring at the top of this segment – Roman Reigns the Tribal Chief, there’s CM Punk the World Champion, there’s Cody Rhodes the Undisputed Champion. These are three of the biggest stars in WWE. Plus the greatest tag team of all time admittedly, the Usos.
“And then on my side you have, my god, Brock Lesnar, you have Bron Breakker, you have Drew McIntyre, you have Bronson Reed, you have Logan Paul. And you have Paul Heyman out there as well.
“Plus, this is not only something where we understand the tradition of WarGames and we have to deliver the greatest WarGames of all time, and we’re very cognizant of that fact. We have to top all the previous WarGames.
“But also, this is really an infomercial for WrestleMania. As you must know by now, there’s such a huge publicity push out there that the individual tickets for WrestleMania Saturday and WrestleMania Sunday go on sale on Black Friday, this Friday.
“So we are out there showing the world, ‘Hey, check out the spectacle, check out what WWE is about,’ and our biggest show of the year, WrestleMania, individual tickets going on sale, this is our audition for the world to come to Vegas for WrestleMania.
“At the same time, giving the most bang for the buck in the greatest WarGames of all time.”

The asked what he expects from John Cena on Saturday, WWE Hall of Famer Heyman replied:
“The greatest John Cena Survivor Series performance you’ve ever seen.
“John Cena is going out on top. John Cena’s going out the same way John Cena came in – the hardest working man in the business.
“Nothing but props for everything that John Cena brings to the table.”
