Mark Briscoe has shared an emotional message after capturing the TNT Championship at AEW Full Gear 2025.
Heading into AEW Full Gear knowing that a loss would result in him having to join The Don Callis Family, Mark Briscoe finally got the better of Kyle Fletcher and captured his first championship in AEW after a brutal No Disqualification match.
With his entrance featuring a special video package dedicated to his late brother Jay Briscoe, his family and stablemates in The Conglomeration – Briscoe dedicated his win to those closest to him, both on the road and at home.
In an AEW social media exclusive interview, Briscoe admitted that he wasn’t sure if he even wanted to continue wrestling after his brother Jay passed in 2023, but he knew he had to “make him proud”:
“There are no words man. Times in life when there just are no words.
“I lost the most important thing to me. Talk about family, I lost my brother. I lost the other half of myself man.
“It’s been a long road since then. I didn’t know if I wanted to carry on, I didn’t know if I wanted to do this anymore without him. But I knew I had to make him proud. I had to do it for us.
“It was failure after failure after defeat after defeat after loss after loss after disappointment after disappointment. But you know they say, there’s a time and a season for everything and when family’s on the line, like my crew, my boys, my family, The Conglomeration, man that changes everything.
“I’ve got my road family, got my home family, and this is for both of them. This is for both of them. For my nephew, for my nieces, my mom, my dad, my wife, my kids, my sister, my in-laws. This is for Delaware baby, for Sussex County, this is for The Conglomeration. This for you dog (points to the sky), we did it baby.”
