Dominik Mysterio has responded to Cody Rhodes naming him as one of the top prospects to be the future of WWE.
Currently WWE Champion Rhodes has regularly named Mysterio when asked about the future of WWE, something that many others including John Cena have concurred with.
Appearing on ESPN First Take today, Mysterio responded to Rhodes’ compliments.
He said:
“I feel like I’m just getting started. I started during the pandemic in 2020. The first half of my career had no fans. So now, leading into this, now we get crowd reactions. So for me, I live off of that.
“Being able to (be called) the future of WWE and hearing Cody say that…
“Cody’s like that big brother that goes off to college and you don’t really see him every now and then, but you get excited when he comes back into town. You want that stamp of approval from him.
“So it’s really cool to hear that from him. It’s a blessing and I’m just fortunate to be able to do my thing.”
