A new update has emerged on the state of current plans for the rumored return of Chris Jericho ahead of tonight’s WWE Raw.
With Chris Jericho’s AEW contract reportedly having expired on December 31, a recent comment from Adam Pearce led to a belief that he was set to return to WWE earlier this month.
While the January 5 appearance didn’t transpire, a report has emerged ahead of tonight’s episode of WWE Raw provided details of Jericho’s status.
According to PWInsiderElite, “there are no creative plans for Chris Jericho to appear live at tonight’s Monday Night Raw.”
The report notes that this is very much the same as last week, with there were no plans for Jericho to appear on the Netflix anniversary show either.
WWE is currently running its Road to Royal Rumble tour of Europe, with episodes of Raw and SmackDown taking place across the continent.
Running through to January 20, with tonight’s Raw in Germany and next week’s in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the report notes that Jericho is currently in the United States.
Jericho also remains, at the time of writing, a featured star on the official AEW roster page.
