With WWE WrestleMania week finally upon fans, there have been some bumps on the road to WrestleMania in Las Vegas.
With matches that needed to be scrapped due to injury to those that were seemingly being set up but never came to fruition, there have been a number of changes as the event fast approaches.
Here are six WWE WrestleMania 41 matches that ended up being canceled.
6. LA Knight vs. Braun Strowman

In the lead up to WrestleMania 41, it seemed as though perhaps Braun Strowman would be getting involved in the United States Championship match.
For a time it seemed as though there would end up being a triple-threat match since the feuding between Fatu and Strowman added a compelling element.
However as the storyline evolved, it would end up being Jacob Fatu who would end up set to face LA Knight one-on-one on the grandest stage of them all.
Keeping a positive attitude about the matter in the public eye, Strowman took to social media to react to fans’ frustration that he had been left off of the WrestleMania 41 card with a positive message, noting he is always “just doing his job,” but thanked fans for their support.
5. IYO SKY vs. Bianca Belair

The WWE Women’s World Championship match at WrestleMania 41 has taken a few twists and turns on the road to WrestleMania.
Rhea Ripley was poised to face Bianca Belair as the latter won the Elimination Chamber match on March 1. However, still in the hunt for the title was IYO SKY who had an opportunity on the horizon.
On the March 3, 2025 episode of WWE Raw, IYO SKY was able to beat Rhea Ripley for the title, seemingly setting up Belair vs SKY in a singles bout.
In the end, Rhea Ripley was added to the match – making their actual WrestleMania 41 match a triple-threat between Ripley, Belair and SKY.

4. Alexa Bliss & The Wyatt Sicks Appearing

With Alexa Bliss making a thunderous return at the 2025 Royal Rumble, fans sort of expected her to have something to do on the road to WrestleMania.
However after a loss at the Elimination Chamber, Bliss has disappeared from TV yet again.
There were some rumors floating about that not only was Bliss set for a match at WrestleMania 41 but that the moment would somehow also include a reveal involving the Wyatt Sicks.
With WrestleMania week underway, both Bliss and the entire Wyatt Sicks faction continue to be absent from WWE TV.
3. Kevin Owens vs. Randy Orton

Not all changes to WrestleMania 41 had to do simply with storylines, rather one hotly anticipated match would be derailed due to injury.
It was unfortunately announced on the April 4 episode of SmackDown that Kevin Owens would be unable to compete at WrestleMania 41 after a neck injury that required surgery in the coming weeks.
While Orton is reportedly still set for a match at WrestleMania 41, his official opponent has not been confirmed although potential foes Solo Sikoa and even Nick Aldis have been teased.
We wish Kevin Owens all the best in his upcoming recovery journey.

2. WWE Tag Team Championship Match

Another championship that has changed hands on this road to WrestleMania was the WWE Tag Team Championship.
The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) were able to capture the titles from #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) on March 14 in Barcelona, Spain.
While the Street Profits will be technically defending their titles during WrestleMania weekend – the match will not be on the actual show. Rather, the Profits are set to take on the Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) on SmackDown in Las Vegas on Friday, April 18.
With WrestleMania 41 being the first for the veteran stars Sabin & Shelley, it would have been doubly sweet for this match to have made it to the main card.
1. Cody Rhodes vs. The Rock

While the return of John Cena was expected for WrestleMania 41, the heel turn that sent shockwaves around the world was not.
With The Rock having been an ominous figure in Cody Rhodes’ story since last year’s WrestleMania 40 win over Roman Reigns, fans thought it could be headed to a showdown between the two directly.
It would ultimately be John Cena working on behest of the Final Boss that would be set for a potentially historic match on the grandest stage of them all.
It is officially Cena who is facing Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
