With Roman Reigns seemingly poised to return to WWE ahead of the first-ever two night SummerSlam – he would be wise to recruit some back-up.
From former allies that he may be able to turn to all the way to literal rivals that could find themselves bonded with Reigns over shared enemies – there is a unique opportunity for Roman Reigns to head-up a brand new squad.
Here are eight stars that could join a brand new Roman Reigns faction.
8. Sami Zayn

If Roman Reigns is looking to establish a new faction, he may be well suited to look to some old friends.
While the original Bloodline pairing of Reigns and Zayn was quite magical – it was also deeply rooted in Roman Reigns being manipulative and tyrannical.
However, it seems times have changed and since Zayn has been firmly positioned as a character who not only found his own voice but forged ahead with even stronger conviction.
Making sense for them to link up again – particularly if in pursuit of revenge on Seth Rollins – the iconic pairing of Roman and Sami could be even better this time.

7. Tama Tonga

Similarly to Roman Reigns – Bloodline member Tama Tonga has been off of WWE TV since April.
After reportedly picking up a legitimate injury, Tonga was written off of TV following an on-screen attack at the hands of LA Knight ahead of WrestleMania 41.
However with plenty of things having changed in his absence – including Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa now feuding with one another – perhaps Tonga would be interested in joining up with Reigns instead.
Picking up fan favorite Tama Tonga to add some comic relief to his relatively serious demeanor, Roman Reigns could be wise to snag the absent star for his new group.

6. Ricky Saints

While he has already made a big impact on NXT since his arrival in WWE, it seems Ricky Saints is on the verge of joining the main roster.
Serving as a perfect foil to Seth Rollins, Saints could be the perfect minion character to cozy up to Roman Reigns and serve as his ultimate stooge.
With the ability demonstrate the nuance necessary for the role – both being able to seem powerful in Roman’s absence but smaller in his presence – Saints could quickly become a main roster fan favorite as a new-school sidekick.
Able to tear apart rivals on the mic and also hold his own in the ring, Ricky Saints could be the consistent backup Reigns needs in his crew.

5. Lance Anoa’i

Lance Anoa’i has already demonstrated his abilities in independent wrestling, however has yet to debut in WWE.
While Anoa’i signed with WWE in July 2024, he would subsequently pick up and injury which seemingly has delayed his debut.
Perhaps the best use of Anoa’i would be to zip past NXT and debut alongside Roman Reigns should the Tribal Chief be establishing a new group.
With a vague resemblance to Reigns, it could be fun to see how similarly WWE could style the pair to play up the familial connection.

4. Zilla Fatu

If Roman Reigns were putting together a new faction one solid choice could come from outside the company.
While Zilla Fatu is not yet signed to WWE, the son of the late Umaga has made it clear that signing with WWE is his ultimate goal in the industry.
Already having made quite the impact in independent wrestling, competing in GCW and Reality of Wrestling the 25-year old star has a lot of upside left in his career.
Add in his compelling real life backstory of overcoming adversity and Zilla Fatu would be an excellent fit to be showcased in a big way in WWE.

3. CM Punk

The enemy of my enemy is my friend – and it seems no one else on the WWE roster would fit that adage better for Reigns than CM Punk.
With both having suffered betrayal at the hands of Paul Heyman, the duo can also be united in the mutual hatred of Seth Rollins.
While the partnership could have the potential of being an amusingly icy one – the characters do have a shared motivation in seeking vengeance.
Inevitably leading to an eventual breakdown between the pair, it would be fun to see how the duo could co-exist before their eventual demise.

2. Hikuleo

Seemingly set to enter a big storyline soon – it would wise for Roman Reigns to lock down Hikuleo as an ally.
The former NJPW star has been signed to WWE since July 2024, however after a year of few updates regarding his status, he recently has had a pair of untelevised matches.
Adding a dominating force to the potential group – the 6 foot 8 inch tall Hikuleo could provide viable back-up to the Tribal Chief.
While Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa have been feuding – Roman Reigns could return to squash the pair, unless he wanted to join up with one of his former new Bloodline rivals.

1. Jacob Fatu

Jacob Fatu has many of the same characteristics that this iteration of Roman Reigns has including a ton of fan support.
Since Fatu is set to face off against Solo Sikoa for the United States Championship at WWE Night of Champions, perhaps he could end up getting a favor from Roman Reigns at the event – that he would eventually be called to repay.
With Fatu offering dominating in-ring skills which pose a viable threat to any roster members, if Reigns was trying to counteract the Rollins’ group – Fatu would be an ideal addition.
Easily able to put on historic matches with the likes of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed – Fatu would be an ideal pick-up for Reigns.
