While recent memory has seen AEW stars defecting for WWE, previously the headlines were often the other way around.
However, as WWE talent become available, there is every chance that AEW could recruit some to become All Elite.
Here are seven WWE stars who could be set to join AEW.
7. Bayley

After missing WrestleMania 41 when she suffered a ‘backstage attack’, fans online were abuzz about Bayley when it emerged that the move was just a storyline and the reason she was missing WrestleMania was simply a creative decision.
Throwing fuel into the fire, Mercedes Mone then tweeted three emojis which ramped up speculation even further – “🫵🏽📞🤑 @itsBayleyWWE”.
In his post-show comments, Triple H encouraged fans to not be worried for Bayley, saying ‘Don’t worry, guys, Bayley will be just fine. A true pro.”
While the move would likely take a bit of time – as Bayley recently revealed that she has a year-and-a-half left on her WWE contract – there is plenty of speculation and fan sentiment suggesting she should make the switch.

6. Karrion Kross & Scarlett

Karrion Kross recently kicked up controversy when he expressed his seemingly real frustration in the context of his current storyline.
Deriding AJ Styles for allowing himself to fairly compete against Logan Paul at WrestleMania 41, Kross blurred the lines between reality and fiction with his rant about not having his own match on the show.
After the fact, Scarlett took to social media to support her real life husband, writing on Twitter: “Whatever happens next, we did it our way. Proud to stand beside a man who never plays it safe.”
With Kross and Scarlett’s contracts with WWE reportedly up in summer of 2025, there will likely be a lot of speculation surrounding their future.

5. Dragon Lee

In January 2023, Dragon Lee reportedly signed a three-year contract with WWE.
While he did start in NXT, he later was called up to the main roster where he is now a member of the latest iteration of the LWO along with Rey Mysterio, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro.
He may be currently the WWE Speed Champion, however he has yet to claim any titles on the main roster.
With his brothers Dralistico and RUSH still signed with AEW, perhaps Dragon Lee will elect to switch over in the coming years.

4. Shayna Baszler

Since being called up to the main roster, Shayna Baszler has had a few different character iterations but hasn’t lost her edge.
While WWE isn’t necessarily known for being vicious and edgy, Baszler could fit in AEW quite well.
Technically sound in skill but also a frightening albeit entertaining presence, the former MMA star could add grit and toughness to the AEW women’s division.
There could definitely be change on the horizon for in WWE for Shayna Baszler since she had been reported as having signed a multi-year deal signaling perhaps there are different creative plans ahead.

3. Apollo Crews

Apollo Crews is another WWE star who has had a variety of versions of his chcracter during his time with the company including switching between the main roster and NXT.
When WWE elected to not renew Baron Corbin’s contract in November 2024, fans were worried about what would be next for his tag team partner of late, Apollo Crews.
Crews would suffer a torn pectoral during a match on SmackDown against Johnny Gargano in January 2025, and while he went on to win the match, he has been out of action due to the injury since.
Reportedly rehabbing without an expectation of return before summer 2025, Apollo Crews may be interested in exploring his future AEW options when the time is right.

2. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows

Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows have been released from WWE together twice (Gallows actually three times), most recently in February 2025.
However after their previous April 2020 release from the company, the pair went on to perform in NJPW as well as IMPACT Wrestling and AEW.
With the long history between Anderson & Gallows and the Young Bucks, it seems likely that the pair could pop up in AEW again if there was the right storyline.
Particularly if they were to accompany another major WWE star who could be set to depart the company for AEW…

1. AJ Styles

The Good Brothers’ ultimate running buddy, AJ Styles, may one day make the leap to AEW.
With a built-in faction with Gallows and Anderson possible, Styles certainly has deep history in professional wrestling that overlap with current talent in AEW.
Potential dream matches practically book themselves with AEW already hosting Samoa Joe, Jeff Jarrett and Jon Moxley, all former rivals of the Phenomenal One.
AJ Styles transitioning to AEW where Tony Khan has demonstrated he will afford legends creative latitude ahead of potential retirement would make complete sense.
