The upcoming WWE Elimination Chamber in Toronto is set for this Saturday, March 1, and there are certainly some twists and turns to be revealed.

The road to WrestleMania is never quite what fans expect and certainly this year is likely to be no exception – there could be a number of changes that arise at the Elimination Chamber PLE that affect SmackDown moving forward.

Here are six potential changes to WWE SmackDown after Elimination Chamber 2025.

6. Randy Orton Returns

Recent reports have suggested that the return of Randy Orton is on the horizon.

While it remains to be seen if he pops up on SmackDown ahead of Elimination Chamber, it is likely he’ll be back soon.

He could pop up at Chamber to assist Sami Zayn seeking violent revenge against Kevin Owens, or perhaps do something else entirely.

While babyface Orton is fun, the vintage evil RKO is always a good time – we’ll have to wait and see.

5. Jade Cargill Returns For Revenge

While Jade Cargill was written off of SmackDown television after a ‘mystery attacker’ took her out, she could very well be back in the mix soon.

With Bianca Belair and Naomi recently losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, perhaps Cargill is close to coming back and seeking revenge.

Currently there remains suspicion on Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez but the mystery seems far from solved.

Perhaps by the time we get to SmackDown after Elimination Chamber, her future target will be more clear.

4. Chelsea Green Adds To Her Secret Service

While she doesn’t have a match set for WWE Elimination Chamber, Chelsea Green will be wrestling in Toronto on the pre-Chamber edition of SmackDown

Prior to her being released, there were rumors that Blair Davenport was set to join Green’s current protection alongside Piper Niven.

However, just because Davenport is no longer in WWE doesn’t mean there still couldn’t be more members of Green’s ‘Secret Hervice’. No that isn’t a typo – that’s what she calls it!

With several main roster options (like Katana Chance & Kayden Carter who were just moved to SmackDown), there could also be someone called up from NXT to fill the role.

3. The Arrival Of Malakai Black

With recent reports that the return of Malakai Black is “imminent”, he would definitely fit in on SmackDown.

Bangers are just sitting there waiting to happen with Carmelo Hayes, Andrade, LA Knight, and more.

While he would also be a great addition to the WWE Raw on Netflix roster, we can hold out hope for SmackDown albeit for one more reason.

It would be very interesting to see him paired on-screen with his real-life wife, Zelina Vega.

2. Cody Rhodes Sells His Soul To The Rock

At the WWE Elimination Chamber event in Toronto, The Rock is set to meet face-to-face with Cody Rhodes in order to get his answer to a very odd proposition.

Recently, The Rock told Cody Rhodes that he wanted Rhodes’ soul in exchange for essentially unlimited power and influence.

While The Rock spun his tale as offering Rhodes an opportunity to bless his family for generations and gain the notoriety to spread even more joy across the world – Cody still seemed to have some doubts.

But, depending on the events at the Elimination Chamber, by next Friday there could actually be a Dark Cody in WWE.

1. The Rock Takes Someone Else’s Soul, Not Cody Rhodes’

Even if Cody Rhodes declines The Rock’s offer to exchange his soul for limitless power and control, that certainly doesn’t mean everyone would make the same choice.

With the road to WrestleMania clearly seeing limited pathways to the main event of the WrestleMania 41, it is entirely likely that multiple top stars could see themselves getting desperate.

Perhaps The Rock will be able to court another champion to service as The Final Boss’ protege.

Possible suspects include Drew McIntyre, John Cena or possibly even Seth Rollins after his recent acknowledgement of having ‘sold out’ before. Would CM Punk sell out to align with his historic rival The Rock if it gets him to his dream of main eventing WrestleMania?
