Currently set to feature four big matches, there is still time for there to be last-minute changes to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC.

From potential returns to matches that could still be added – there could be some interesting developments before the show hits the air.

Here are six potential last-minute changes to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

6. Roman Reigns Returns

WWE's Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since the WWE Raw after WrestleMania which saw him suffer a beatdown at the hands of Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker.

While WWE fans continue to await the return of Roman Reigns, he is not scheduled nor announced for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

However, with the first-ever two night SummerSlam fast approaching – and given that the NBC special has a lot of eyes Saturday night – perhaps the event will see the return of Reigns.

Potentially popping up to cost Seth Rollins his match against LA Knight, interfere in Jimmy Uso vs. Solo Sikoa or even arriving to challenge the winner of GUNTHER vs. Goldberg – there are a lot of places that Roman could re-emerge.

5. Goldberg Wins

While the build to the Saturday Night’s Main Event match has featured the bout being specifically referred to as “Goldberg’s Last Match”, there has been an interesting storyline alternative offered.

With Michael Cole noting that Goldberg had played it coy regarding what might happen if he were to pick up the WWE World Heavyweight Championship – it seems as though there is a possibility.

Dismissed by many fans as improbable, Goldberg picking up the victory and taking the World Heavyweight Championship in an entirely new direction is not impossible.

Since GUNTHER has a number of known enemies who could always involve themselves in his demise, perhaps there will be WWE history made in Atlanta.

4. New Legends On Commentary

While having Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura on commentary for the past 2025 editions of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event has been notable – perhaps another legend could pop back by the desk this time.

Having a female voice like Alundra Blayze or Beth Phoenix on the panel in light of tomorrow’s all-female premium live event Evolution 2025 would be a nice touch.

Or, with Titus O’Neil currently starring in a Bravo reality series “King’s Court” that premieres on Sunday night and will also stream on Peacock, perhaps he would be a great fit to lend his voice for a match or two.

CM Punk could potentially be tapped to be on commentary for Drew McIntyre’s return match against Randy Orton to provide his perspective on the return of his enemy.

3. Evolution Preview In-Ring Segment

With tomorrow, July 13, set to host WWE Evolution, it would stand to reason that there wouldn’t be many if any women in competition on NBC.

However, in order to bolster interest amongst those watching on network TV it would make sense to highlight the female talent with an in-ring segment.

Able to bring out recognizable veterans like Trish Stratus and Nikki Bella to talk about the event, the pair could always be interrupted and then have a brawl ensue.

While the card currently sits at four big matches – there is definitely room for another segment.

2. Adding Bron Breakker vs. Karrion Kross

On WWE Raw, Paul Heyman would reveal that Sami Zayn is out of action “indefinitely” after an assault by Karrion Kross and then a match against Bron Breakker.

In the same backstage segment, Breakker was incensed that Karrion Kross had involved himself at all in the matter – wanting it clear that he was the one who put down Zayn.

With the conflict as simple as Breakker didn’t want Kross’ help, the pair could put on a hard hitting affair.

Pitting Kross’ evolving anti-hero character against a similar presence in Breakker could be an interesting test of both characters in terms of audience response.

1. No DQ Stipulation Added

There are two bouts on the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event card where adding a No Disqualifications stipulation could lead to an even more incredible match.

With Drew McIntyre making his return to WWE action and set to take on Randy Orton, adding the potential threat of additional weaponry could be interesting.

However the brother vs. brother battle between Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa should probably have a stipulation added as to save any potential referees from having to be taken out by an errant move to allow for interference.

With so many members of the Bloodline seeming primed to interfere in Sikoa’s United States Championship defense against Uso – might as well just make the match Bloodline Rules i.e. there are no rules!
