WWE Replacement For Paul Heyman

Paul Heyman is widely regarded as one of the greatest managers in pro wrestling history, and is still going strong in WWE today.

However, Heyman was brutally attacked by Seth Rollins with a steel chair shot and Curb Stomp on the March 2 edition of WWE Raw.

After commentary announced that Heyman will be out indefinitely, The Vision and WWE overall may have to consider a replacement to fill the void left behind by Heyman.

Here are six potential WWE replacements for Paul Heyman.

6. Adam Pearce

Over the past few years, Paul Heyman has clashed on multiple occasions with WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce.

The two men have never seen eye-to-eye when it comes to Heyman’s clientele, whether it be Roman Reigns and The Bloodline or his current role with The Vision.

Since 2020, Pearce has worked as an authority figure for the WWE main roster and could be ready for a fresh, new role that can show a different side of himself.

Pearce replacing Heyman as a manager in WWE could be different and allow him to show off a new side of his personality that has not been on display as General Manager.

5. Nick Aldis

While Adam Pearce has been an authority figure for the past six years, Nick Aldis took on the General Manager role nore recently in 2023.

Becoming the GM for Friday Night SmackDown, Aldis went right from being an in-ring competitor to becoming an authority figure in WWE.

The former TNA World Champion is someone who has shown a level of poise and gravitas that has not always been seen by past GMs.

With his speaking ability and experience, Aldis could be an interesting option to replace Paul Heyman and provide some guidance to stars on the WWE roster today.

4. Robert Stone

Another WWE authority figure who actually started as a manager in the company was Robert Stone.

While Ava has served as the NXT General Manager since 2023, she recently left the company after her contract expired in January 2026.

Then, Shawn Michaels named Robert Stone as the interim NXT GM in place of Ava and he has done well to hold down the fort on the brand.

Stone replacing Paul Heyman on the WWE main roster could be interesting with him playing a more featured role as a manager on the company’s programming moving forward.

3. Robert Roode

Looking at the WWE staff, there are plenty of backstage producers and personnel who could come in to play a manager on the company’s television.

Among the producers, there might not be anyone who could work as an on-screen personality quite like Robert Roode.

The former NXT Champion is someone who has always worked well as an on-air personality from his days in TNA Wrestling and since signing with WWE.

Following in the footsteps of Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis, Roode could still continue his work as a producer and become a potential replacement for Paul Heyman as a manager on WWE TV.

2. Zelina Vega

On Friday Night SmackDown, Zelina Vega has started to once again become featured as a manager on WWE television.

While she is still an in-ring competitor and a former WWE Women’s United States Champion, Vega has started to be in the corner of her husband Aleister Black.

When she first arrived in WWE back in 2017, Vega came in as a manager to Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas on the NXT brand.

Now that she is back in her original role with the company, it would make a ton of sense for WWE to look towards Zelina as a potential replacement for Paul Heyman if he will be out for a considerable length of time.

1. Wade Barrett

While he has an established reputation and legacy as an in-ring competitor, Wade Barrett made the transition to the commentary position in WWE in 2020.

Since then, Barrett has been a color commentator on all three major brands with WWE Raw, SmackDown and NXT.

With his impressive talking ability, character work, experience and credibility, Barrett feels like someone who could excel as a manager in the current landscape of WWE.

Barrett moving from commentator to manager would be intriguing and could see him shine in the place of Paul Heyman in some form or fashion on WWE programming.
