WWE Replacement For Jey Uso

Share

WWE's Jey Uso

After WWE Wrestlepalooza, there were some concerns related to Jey Uso being medically cleared to compete moving forward.

While Jey Uso has posted to Instagram stories with the on-screen caption reading “I’m good” after – there are other reports noting that he is under concussion protocol after the bout.

Either way, there could be a good storyline reason for Jey Uso to take a step away for a short time. Here are six potential replacements for Jey Uso to join Jimmy Uso in taking on The Vision in WWE.

6. Jacob Fatu

A return that could come at the perfect time if Jey Uso were to need to miss any in-ring action could be Jacob Fatu.

While Jacob Fatu has been absent from WWE TV since mid-August when he teamed up with Jimmy Uso & Sami Zayn to defeat MFT (JC Mateo, Solo Sikoa & Tonga Loa), he hasn’t been completely out of action.

Continuing to appear at WWE live events, Fatu continues to be booked as a babyface and has been mostly tangling with WWE Raw stars.

Seemingly signaling a shift of brands incoming for Fatu, it would make total sense for him to link up with The Usos to take on The Brons.

5. LA Knight

Seemingly the most logical choice to join forces with Jimmy Uso in continuing to combat The Vision is LA Knight.

Already involved in the feud, LA Knight knows the stakes and can step in if Jey Uso needs to step out.

In what could actually be a continuation of his overall rivalry with Jey Uso – LA Knight could step up to help out Jimmy.

Leading to a potential conflict in the future between a returning Jey and a now Honorary Uce in LA Knight, the storyline could end up being an interesting one.

4. Tama Tonga

One Bloodline star that remains out of action following a legitimate injury is Tama Tonga.

Tama Tonga was last seen ahead of WrestleMania 41 where he was written off TV on SmackDown before Mania in an attack at the hands of LA Knight.

Since he has missed all of the chaos on SmackDown that ensued between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa – including Sikoa creating a brand new faction – perhaps Tama Tonga will just pop back up on WWE Raw.

A move that could lead to some intriguing, tense and likely quite fun moments of showdown with LA Knight, Tama Tonga’s unique humor has been missed.

3. Zilla Fatu

With Jey Uso paying homage to Umaga by using his signature running hip attack at Wrestlepalooza – perhaps it was a clue of someone yet to arrive in WWE.

Umaga’s son, Zilla Fatu, is not yet signed with WWE but has stated in the past that it is his overall career goal.

Continuing to make a name for himself across indie wrestling including with Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion, it seems almost inevitable that Zilla Fatu will realize his dream of joining WWE in the future.

Subbing in for a Jey Uso injury (even a faux one for storyline purposes), could provide the perfect explanation for his debut.

2. CM Punk

If Jimmy Uso is looking for someone on the WWE roster who hates Seth Rollins – he doesn’t have to look far to find CM Punk.

Making an amusing team for even a one-off pairing, CM Punk could definitely fill in for Jey in his tag team with Jimmy Uso.

Coming off of the heels of a victory over Seth Rollins at WWE Wrestlepalooza, the chaos between CM Punk and Rollins is certainly not over.

Likely willing to take up the fight with The Vision however necessary, CM Punk could be an important albeit somewhat unlikely ally to Jimmy Uso.

1. Lance Anoa’i

There is a Bloodline member already signed to WWE that has yet to make an official debut in Lance Anoa’i.

Shortly after signing with WWE in July 2024, Anoa’i picked up and injury that ended up taking him out of action and seemingly delaying his debut.

While he was previously rumored to be NXT bound, perhaps now there have been so many shifts in the Bloodline storyline that his services are actually needed on WWE Raw.

Forming a solid alliance on-screen with Jimmy and Jey in advance of Roman Reigns‘ eventual return could lead to some incredible and tense moments on-screen.
