With just weeks away from the event, fans are starting to wonder who could potentially win the Men’s and Women’s WWE Royal Rumble matches.
Over on Monday Night Raw, there are a number of names who have a legitimate shot at winning the titular match and punching their ticket for the main event of WrestleMania 42.
From former champions looking to reclaim their glory, to up-and-coming stars wanting their crack at the gold, it will be interesting to see who, if any, from Raw can walk out of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with the huge win in the Rumble.
Here are eight WWE Raw stars to potentially win the Royal Rumble 2026.
8. Liv Morgan
At WWE Survivor Series 2025, Liv Morgan made her return to the company for the first time since suffering a dislocated shoulder in June.
Helping Dominik Mysterio regain the Intercontinental Championship against John Cena, Morgan showed just how much value she brought to The Judgment Day.
Morgan went on to state that she planned on bringing gold back to her stable and even had a confrontation with WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.
While she has been busy in the tag team division, Morgan has to be viewed as one of the favorites to win the Women’s Royal Rumble Match and get her title opportunity at WrestleMania 42.

7. Dominik Mysterio
Speaking of Liv Morgan, her on-screen boyfriend Dominik Mysterio has been off of television ever since suffering a shoulder injury himself at the AAA Guerra de Titanes show.
The reigning Intercontinental Champion is someone who has gained a ton of momentum over the past year.
Considering the options on Monday Night Raw, “Dirty Dom” seems like someone popular and resourceful enough to have a chance to win the WWE Royal Rumble.
Mysterio cheating to win the Men’s Rumble seems like a realistic option that could see him figuring out a way to punch his ticket for WrestleMania 42.

6. LA Knight
Another WWE star who has been absent from the company’s television over the past month is LA Knight.
On the December 8 edition of WWE Raw, Logan Paul defeated Knight. Post match, The Vision jumped Knight, ending this attack with Bronson Reed delivering a massive Tsunami off of a production case onto “The Megastar” on top of a car.
After this assault, it was revealed that Knight was out of action indefinitely, leading to speculation regarding when he would make his return.
Knight returning at WWE Royal Rumble 2026 could see him come out with some fire and pick up the victory in the Men’s Rumble to finally get his shot at the gold on “Grandest Stage of Them All.”

5. IYO SKY
Heading into the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 event, IYO SKY was considered a favorite to win the Women’s Rumble Match.
However, SKY did not pull out the win and went on to defeat Rhea Ripley to become the new WWE Women’s World Champion a month later.
Going into this year’s PLE, SKY recently teamed with Ripley to defeat The Kabuki Warriors to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Despite holding gold, IYO has to once again be looked at as someone who is a top star in the women’s division and has everything it takes to win the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble Match in Riyadh.

4. Rhea Ripley
Speaking of IYO SKY, fans have to look at her tag team partner Rhea Ripley as another favorite to win at WWE Royal Rumble 2026.
Back in 2023, Ripley won the Women’s Royal Rumble Match and went on to defeat Charlotte Flair to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39.
Despite recently winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships alongside SKY, there is every chance that Ripley could win her second Royal Rumble Match.
If it comes down to her and IYO, Ripley could have the experience to overcome her friend and tag team partner to win at WWE Royal Rumble 2026.

3. Bron Breakker
On the January 5 edition of WWE Raw, CM Punk defeated Bron Breakker to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
While he came up short, it felt that Breakker would eventually win a world title coming out of this bout.
This loss has been used as motivation to bring even more chaos to Monday Night Raw with Breakker attacking Penta and Dragon Lee as well as physically intimidating General Manager Adam Pearce and getting himself suspended the following week.
After Paul Heyman’s declaration about Pearce putting his hands on his client, Breakker should find himself unsuspended and has to be considered an odds-on favorite to win the Men’s Royal Rumble on January 31.

2. Seth Rollins
Back in October 2025, Seth Rollins suffered a serious shoulder injury in his bout against Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel 2025.
This led to Rollins being attacked and excommunicated from The Vision by Bron Breakker and company. Then, Rollins was stripped of the World Heavyweight Championship due to his injury.
Despite being reported to be out of action for nine months to recover, Rollins revealed that his recovery is going well and should see him come back early.
Rollins returning in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match could see him win the first of his career to get his way back to the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42.

1. GUNTHER
It is easy to argue that no WWE star came into 2026 with more momentum than GUNTHER.
In 2025, GUNTHER enjoyed two reigns as World Heavyweight Champion and more importantly, retired two legends in Goldberg and John Cena.
“The Ring General” feels like a major favorite to win the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble Match to further add to his laundry list of accolades.
After making Cena submit in his final match, it feels like a logical way to keep up his momentum in a massive way by having him win at WWE Royal Rumble 2026 and create his path to WrestleMania 42.
