While storylines begin to come together for what is set to be a busy and exciting summer in WWE – there could be some talent movement Raw, SmackDown and NXT.

From those who switch brands in order to target specific opponents, to others who may just benefit from an overall change in scenery – there are some potential candidates from Raw to change brands.

Here are six WWE Raw stars that could switch brands.

6. CM Punk

While there tends to be a little bit of free movement between the top stars in WWE across brands, CM Punk remains officially on WWE Raw.

However, after making an appearance on this week’s June 13th edition of SmackDown to confront John Cena – the WWE crowd was clearly delighted to see CM Punk on a Friday night.

With the depth of talent on the SmackDown roster of both veterans and young stars, there could be some really interesting future showdowns for Punk.

From igniting new rivalries or revisiting old ones, a move to SmackDown could prove to be the most compelling option for CM Punk whether in the 2025 WWE Draft or beforehand.

5. Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane recently returned to WWE Raw following a six month injury absence, and quickly reunited with IYO SKY.

Despite that however, Sane, SKY and Asuka – who is set to return on tonight’s WWE Raw – seem to set to continue on their own paths, with Damage CTRL reportedly being quietly disbanded.

Considering this news it seems like a good opportunity for WWE to give Sane a fresh start over on SmackDown.

Definitely still with scores to settle on the blue brand, Sane could add a lot to the SmackDown women’s roster. Potentially having a rivalry or an iconic new partnership with recent SmackDown addition from NXT Giulia – there are a lot of possibilities!

4. Sami Zayn

Since making his mark on WWE Raw, Sami Zayn had career accomplishments as a beloved babyface – including winning the Intercontinental Championship for the fourth time by taking down the historic reign of GUNTHER.

However with plenty of shifts expected in the upcoming WWE Draft 2025 – it might be a good time for the star to return to SmackDown.

Being plagued by Karrion Kross and plenty of past history with the current WWE Raw roster, it would make sense that Sami Zayn would be open to a new start.

While he could absolutely remain a babyface, Zayn’s creativity as a performer makes a potential reinvention as a heel an exciting prospect.

3. Grayson Waller

With The New Day gassing up Grayson Waller to drop his A-Town Down Under partner Austin Theory – “The Aussie Icon” could be going his own way soon.

Perhaps returning to SmackDown would be the best choice – resuming his Grayson Waller Effect talk show segment and starting up new feuds as a singles star again.

Able to resurrect former NXT showdowns with former rivals like Johnny Gargano and Carmelo Hayes – there are certainly a lot of  options for the brash heel star.

With a role in the SmackDown midcard Waller could become a welcome committee to stars attempting to follow in his footsteps from NXT to the main roster, utilizing all of his powers of obnoxiousness.

2. New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate)

Since Tyler Bate returned from injury, both he and his New Catch Republic tag team partner Pete Dunne have remained on WWE Raw, but haven’t really been seen on the actual show itself.

Appearing primarily on WWE Main Event, Dunne and Bate are sadly struggling to feature in the Raw tag team division despite there not being a ton of tag teams vying for The New Day’s gold.

With Dunne and Bate still benefiting from the goodwill of the audience, perhaps taking on new challenges on SmackDown would give them more opportunities, with teams seemingly being given more airtime on the blue brand lately.

Poised to go against the likes of Pretty Deadly and #DIY – the individually impressive stars could also take on singles challenges on SmackDown as well.

1. Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley continues to delight WWE Raw audiences, but perhaps her character could use a refresh by switching brands.

Having already largely conquered the feuds that might be available on WWE Raw (aside from IYO SKY of course) – it could be time for Mami to switch brands.

A move to Raw would remedy this by providing Ripley fresh feuds with the likes of Nia Jax, Naomi or even teaming up with Tiffany Stratton.

Giving Ripley a new goal to chase and new motivations could be a way to continue her popularity without getting repetitive.
