With the field of entrants into the WWE tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent being slowly revealed, there are more names to come.
Already confirmed to be in the tournament are LA Knight, Jey Uso and The Miz with Nick Aldis electing to leave one of the randomly selected names a mystery — more matches were announced ahead of the show.
Here are seven more WWE Raw stars that are set for John Cena ‘Last Time Is Now’ tournament or may be announced soon.
7. Sheamus
One veteran star that has secured his spot in the Last Time Is Now tournament from WWE Raw is Sheamus.
Sharing a terrible detail of their careers — both Sheamus and Cena are missing only the Intercontinental Championship from their list of accolades to complete their respective WWE Grand Slams.
Set for WWE Raw on November 10, the tournament will kick off with a pair of matches set for the Boston return of John Cena.
Sheamus will be taking on SmackDown’s Shinsuke Nakamura in a first round tournament match.

6. Rusev
One former foe of John Cena that has been confirmed to be entered in the Last Time Is Now tournament is Rusev.
After returning to WWE in April 2025, the star has been welcomed back by fans with open arms despite his initial presentation as a heel.
Set to take on SmackDown star Damian Priest in his first round match, there is certainly set to be some hard hitting action to determine who will advance.
Potentially looking to settle old scores with Cena before the latter departs, it could be Rusev who ends up going all the way in the tournament.

5. Kofi Kingston
One WWE star that boasts an interesting statistic in regards to John Cena is actually Kofi Kingston.
While they have certainly faced off in multi-man matches, there has never been a one-on-one bout between Kofi Kingston and John Cena.
Taking the opportunity to enter the Last Time Is Now tournament, Kofi Kingston has a huge reason to want to chase one match against Cena before the 17x champ retires.
Alternatively, Kingston’s New Day tag team partner Xavier Woods has only faced John Cena in singles action once — for the United States Championship on WWE Raw in 2015 in a match that ended in DQ after interference from Kingston & Big E when Woods was in a submission hold.

4. Dominik Mysterio
One face that was featured in the vignette that announced the Last Time Is Now tournament is Dirty Dominik Mysterio.
With it being no secret that Dominik currently stands between John Cena and obtaining the only WWE Championship that has eluded him in his career — the Intercontinental Championship and thereby the WWE Grand Slam.
Possibly set to join the field for the tournament, it could end up that Cena’s last match is for the IC title that he has yet to win in his legendary career.
Conversely, if he were able to pull off a heist in the style of his self-proclaimed father Eddie Guerrero — Dominik denying Cena the WWE Grand Slam could cement his heel status in a moment that would live in history.

3. Julius Creed
In John Cena’s announcement video regarding the ‘Last Time Is Now’ tournament, he noted that one mission was to capture the energy of his debut against Kurt Angle.
Displaying the now historic “ruthless aggression”, the gutsy Cena directly challenged Angle, creating the opportunity for a reimagination of the moment if John Cena were to be challenged by Julius Creed.
Taking up the American Made character already under the tutelage of the modern iteration of Angle in WWE in Chad Gable, — Julius Creed could be the perfect entrant into the tournament to try to take it all the way.
Definitely a roster member with hugely untapped potential, Julius Creed could end up making a major name for himself in WWE by going the distance in the tournament.]

2. Austin Theory
One WWE Raw roster member who has a legitimate gripe with John Cena could be Austin Theory.
While he has been described as out of action “due to injury”, there have also been reports that Theory is set to take part in the heel team at Survivor Series WarGames — suggesting a potential return in the coming weeks.
Although Theory does hold a major victory over Cena, beating him at WrestleMania 39 — fans would be forgiven if they forgot how the feud concluded. Instead often remembering the vicious verbal dressing down laid out by Cena in Boston’s TD Garden back in 2023, it could be the return to Cena’s hometown that brings about the return of Theory.
With one more shot at John Cena, Austin Theory could end up being not only a surprise entrant in the Last Time Is Now tournament — but actually the man to win the entire thing.

1. GUNTHER
If reports are to be believed, the creative plan for John Cena’s last match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington D.C. has been set in stone for awhile.
With GUNTHER being the popular name rumored to be taking on Cena in his final match, it seems as though the Ring General must be set for a return to join the field of entrants.
While one name that Nick Aldis opened from the tumbler and elected to keep close to the vest could end up being the surprise return of GUNTHER — it might remain secretive until the end of the first round of matches.
Poised to become the biggest heel of the next generation, it might be GUNTHER’s time to not only capture victory in this tournament but add another legend to the list of those he’s retired.
