WWE Raw is headed to Netflix in January 0f 2025, and the show will likely undergo some changes between now and then.

The current formula of WWE Raw has remained largely unchanged all year, but the next few months may see some big changes as WWE ushers in the Netflix era.

Here are 7 potential big changes coming to WWE Raw.

7) Fewer Ad Breaks On WWE Raw

One of the main talking points heading into the Netflix era of Raw is whether or not the show will feature commercial breaks.

The current Raw formula sees a lot of commercial breaks on the show, which a lot of fans talk about as a negative.

So, scaling back or removing them altogether will be a major plus.

Netflix hasn’t really dabbled in live programming a lot recently, so a lot about how Raw will be presented on the platform is yet to be determined.

6) New Logo

The current logo used for WWE Raw has been used for the show since 2019, although a number of moderations have been made over the years.

With WWE Raw heading towards the Netflix era, a major shakeup could be in place for the show, including a rebranded logo and theme song for the show.

Most WWE Raw logos don’t last as long as the current iteration has, so a new look and feel to the show will help usher in the Netflix era.

Def Rebel are probably in the booth cooking up the new Raw theme song that will be universally panned as we speak.

5) Less Censorship

While censorship is a major issue with SmackDown on FOX, and is less of an issue on USA, it is still something that WWE has to put in place for everyone not named The Rock.

Triple H himself has already commented on how the need for censorship will be removed upon the arrival to Netflix.

He said:

“Just as an example, us being on FOX, if the crowd chants ‘holy s**t’ or something much worse, they just take the audio (out). Sometimes they take the picture and the audio off and it’s just a black screen.

“The Rock comes in and you sort of can’t tell The Rock what to do. What are we going to tell him? So, he sort of does what he does. We won’t have those issues with Netflix.”

4) Judgment Day Break-Up

From a storyline perspective, the landscape of WWE Raw is going to be shaken up over the next few months, as the Judgment Day seemingly heads towards a split.

With Rhea Ripley returning and currently butting heads with Dominik, the allegiances within the group are sure to be tested over the next few months.

Damian Priest has been leaning into a babyface role as we head towards Gunther at SummerSlam, which will likely see him and Rhea on the same page.

3) Women’s Intercontinental Championship

One rumour that has been running wild in recent weeks is that WWE may be set to introduce two more championships.

The titles in question being two women’s midcard titles, a Women’s Intercontinental Championship for Raw, and a Women’s United States Championship for SmackDown.

There are a number of women on Raw currently waiting to break out, and introducing a new title for them to fight for will only help them on their ascent.

A Women’s Intercontinental Championship could be an important part of Raw heading into the Netflix era.

2) New WWE Raw Commentary Team

It was recently announced that ESPN’s Joe Tessitore is set to join WWE.

WWE announced that Tessitore will provide commentary alongside Wade Barrett and Corey Graves, who currently commentate for the SmackDown brand.

However, WWE never specified which brand they’d be commentating on.

While they do currently announce on SmackDown, WWE could easily switch them over to Raw if Netflix wants a voice like Tessitore’s on the platform.

Damian Priest has reigned as the World Heavyweight Champion on Raw since WrestleMania XL, where he cashed in his Money In The Bank contract on the show.

Heading into SummerSlam, Priest has been positioned as a babyface heading into his match with Gunther, which many expect to be the match where his reign comes to an end.

Heading into the Fall of this year and the start of the Netflix era, the Ring General will likely be reigning as the World Heavyweight Champion, changing the landscape of Raw.
