7. Feud With Je’Von Evans

The ending of WWE NXT Deadline 2025 saw Tony D’Angelo announce his return to the brand by laying out Je’Von Evans with a huge spinebuster.

This statement shows that D’Angelo will have a more aggressive and no-nonsense kind of character.

The fact that Tony D ignored Evans trying to embrace him with a handshake to attack him means that it would make sense to see the two feud coming out of NXT Deadline.

6. Reveal Who Came To See Him At His Restaurant

When WWE NXT fans last saw Tony D’Angelo, he was seen having dinner at his restaurant until a dark and mysterious figure came to see him.

With the show fading to black soon thereafter, fans have been wondering if D’Angelo was taken away or attacked during this chance meeting.

However, the former NXT North American Champion is back and has not explained his appearance from the last time fans saw him.

5. Forming A New Family

Tony D’Angelo has left his mark on NXT in many different ways throughout his four year run on the brand.

Debuting in 2021, D’Angelo’s character has always stood out with the “mafia boss” persona that allowed him to create his own faction.

The D’Angelo Family formed with Tony as the leader alongside Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo, Adriana Rizzo and Luca Crusifino.

With that version of the group now gone, D’Angelo could form a new Family from the ashes of his old one.

If Tony D’Angelo decides he does not want to have a new Family, he could simply align with the one member of his old stable that did not betray him in any way.

While each member of the D’Angelo Family showed their loyalty to Tony D, they pale in comparison to the bond between Tony D and Adriana Rizzo.

Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo drove a wedge in the D’Angelo Family that also led to Luca Crusifino going against D’Angelo, but it was Rizzo who made the match to settle things between her former stablemates.

1. Dethrone Oba Femi For The NXT Championship

Oba Femi reclaimed his spot at the top of WWE NXT by winning the NXT Championship for a second time at Deadline 2025.

However, it looked as if Femi had fear in his heart by the end of the night when he saw the only man who had beaten him twice in Tony D’Angelo walk back into WWE.

While Je’Von Evans has earned his shot at the title after winning the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge, it is clear that D’Angelo will be involved in this mix as the brand heads into 2026.

After capturing every title on the brand except one, D’Angelo could complete the NXT Grand Slam by being the one to defeat Oba Femi again and finally win the NXT Championship.
