While current WWE NXT General Manager Ava continues to control the chaos backstage, she may be ready to move on.
Looking towards who could end up taking over for Ava should she want to take a break or return to in-ring competition, there are some interesting ideas as to who could take over the role of NXT GM.
Here are six potential new General Managers for WWE NXT.
6. Charlotte Flair
Her recent popularity in a tag team with Alexa Bliss has proven that perhaps fans weren’t rejecting Charlotte Flair as much as her direction.
With fans seemingly solidly behind Charlotte Flair going on side quests, including the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, perhaps they would also be supportive of a spell as NXT GM.
Posting to social media about sharing the ring for training with current NXT GM Ava, Flair could use the opportunity to show off different aspects of her personality that have been highlighted in her teamwork with Bliss that seem to be resonating with fans.
Maybe just popping by to lend a helping hand to Ava, Flair could use her current popularity to bolster Ava’s position in NXT and show off her own acting chops all at the same time.

5. Charlie Dempsey
One way to subvert expectations and keeping in step with the theme of Ava serving as the current WWE NXT General Manager would be for Charlie Dempsey to take over the reins.
While it may seem like the more likely choice would be Dempsey’s father William Regal, the on-screen pairing could end up proving to be compelling.
The ability to craft storylines surrounding generational conflict backstage through a literal family connection could be a great launching pad for Dempsey beyond the ring.
While Dempsey continues to do exceptional in-ring work, there could be an emerging opportunity for him to set in motion a character shift.

4. William Regal
Perhaps the best new NXT GM would be an authority figure from NXT’s past – William Regal.
After briefly appearing on-screen for a few bits and bobs in NXT including interacting with son Charlie Dempsey as well as Lexis King, William Regal has been largely behind the scenes since returning to WWE.
However, still a fan favorite, it could be enjoyable to see a brand new iteration of William Regal emerge as NXT GM.
With endless possibilities, Regal would certainly come up with something interesting as well as inventive, giving the GM role an increased gravity with a legend in charge.

3. Mick Foley
Another potential legend that could be in charge in NXT would be Mick Foley.
Remaining a beloved fan favorite, Foley would mark another of the most notable names from WWE’s past to spend some time in NXT.
While best remembered for his in-ring characters, Foley was a fan favorite GM on the WWE main roster, making the move make logical sense.
With appearances in the Performance Center by the likes of the Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin, it could be a very fun use of Foley.

2. Chelsea Green
One hilarious potential future NXT General Manager could be someone already appearing on the show – Chelsea Green.
While Green should in no way get locked down into this storyline, perhaps she could be called upon to provide some assistance.
And, of course, it would be a chance to see her get some ridiculous comeuppance for her treatment of WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis over the years.
Setting up a variety of fun possibilities, Green already has her security team in tow with the Secret Hervice (Piper Niven & Alba Fyre) – as well as a current alliance with NXT North American Champion Ethan Page – so she’s ready for anything that NXT throws her way.

1. Arianna Grace
If Ava were to elect to give over the reins as NXT GM to another current NXT female talent – the perfect selection could be Arianna Grace.
Given the continued crossovers between NXT and TNA Wrestling, it could be a fun opportunity to see Arianna Grace take charge of NXT.
Since her father Santino Marella is the Director of Authority for TNA Wrestling, there could be endless hijinks that go on between the pair as rivals.
Providing for a fun running storyline between the two companies, the pairing would be a fun spin on a traditional view of competition between GMs.
